Bang goes the original DVD date theory - according to SFX a while back, the official BBC Worldwide /2entertain press release for the dvd and the synopsis, it was to be released 25 Feb, hence all that early air date speculation for the broadcasts, back in January!
I guess I know what is going on my birthday list - great timing!
To buy the dvd or the box set decisions decisions !!! I'm hoping,no, praying there is a sseries 6 so I can get a 1-6 box set. Hal deserves as many if not more episodes than Mitchell, sorry Mitchell fans!!!

From the titles it sounds like some of these are the exclusive scenes and others are behind the scenes or outtakes?
Damien himself mentioned to Laura that there were scenes that did not appear in the series broadcasts, but will be on the DVD!
thank you for posting J-B, I have not received my reply from the BBC yet but I only emailed the day I posted here about the BBC shop! (p.s I made the text a little lighter blue, it was disappearing into the background )
Not sure about the titles Domino,i only enquired about the online mini ep's & specifically about "Wooed" & that was the reply i got.Thought they were the titles of all the mini ep's , we'll soon know!.
@Kayla enjoy the play & meeting Damien (envy you sooo much ) !
Exciting news, there is a whole new exclusive scene to come on the Being Human Series 5 DVD!
In his farewell blog on the official Being Human blog, Toby Whithouse revealed:
"On the DVD there will be an extra scene - one that takes place, in my mind, a week or so after the end of Episode 6. It answers the question I'm sure you're all asking yourselves now - what's happened to them? Did they save the world? And at the same time it allows scope for further stories, a future life for the show and the characters.
I should point out that this wasn't intended as a way of boosting DVD sales! We always planned to shoot an extra scene for the DVD and when it came to deciding what that scene should be, we thought it would be a good opportunity to give a little closure. Even if 'closure' means the turning of another page."
With more via SFX Magazine (warning: there are episode 6 spoilers here)
"on the DVD there will be an extra scene that takes place about a week after the end of the series. After that the answer is pretty definitive. I felt a bit bad doing it this way, but the fact is we were contractually obliged to do an extra scene for the DVD that won’t appear anywhere else. I wasn’t really aware of this, or more likely I’d forgotten, until I’d already written episode six. And then they said. ‘You’ve got to do an extra scene on the DVD.’ We thought about doing a scene from earlier in the episode, possibly a scene where the devil, who is now possessing Mr Rook, goes and kills the Secretary of State – ie, me. And much as that would have been fun we thought well if we’re going to do an extra scene we want it to be our three heroes. And there weren’t any interesting ideas for scenes that would have happened before the end of the series. We could have done something like one of the online scenes, something affectionate and sweet, but we wanted to do something a little more exciting than that. We decided if we were doing one that was set some time after the last scene of the episode then it had to somehow answer the question about what had happened.
If you believe that the characters are stuck in one of Captain Hatch’s dreams it’s quite a bleak ending. And so if that’s your take on that last scene then that’s a bit of a bleak way to leave five years of the show, so the DVD scene will address that.”
@HalGal I am filled with a mixture of excitement and trepidation for the extra scene to come...it feels that the ambiguity in the ending currently is giving fans the chance to almost participate in the creation of their preferred ending...According to Toby when we have seen the extra scene : " After that the answer is pretty definitive."
@fifi My actual question to BBC was if the content was the same on DVD as blu-ray as sometimes they differ with far more content on the latter to encourage more sales of the blu-ray. that seems to be more in films though.
Thanx for the extra extras info domino I am excited for the interviews and deleted scenes, but after reading that bit from Toby W, I feel anxious about the extra scene !!!:/ please don't take away my happy ending Being Human !!!

I like the dvd art but the boxset, why is Hal right at the back? He was THE vamp as far as I'm concerned and that's coming from an Irish girl who loves all Irish boys!!!
