After over 20 years in Newgate Gaol, the Irish dynamiter, Aiden Galvin, is sprung from his prison wagon’s journey through Whitechapel.
Barely a day later he has exploded a device beneath the bed of the prominent MP Cecil Knightly, a vociferous opponent of The Home Rule movement. Despite their outward protestations of peace, Chief Inspector Abberline is convinced that the Irish Republican Brotherhood is once more about its work and orders Reid to send the Irish DC Flight undercover into Whitechapel’s Irish community.
As Flight draws closer to the beautiful young woman, Evelyn, who is believed to be Galvin’s daughter, so Jackson’s forensic investigation into the explosive device itself leads Reid to examine its victim, Knightly, in more detail.
A man of power and influence, he had positioned himself at the heart of London’s emerging energy lobby. A new power station is to be constructed within Councilor Jane Cobden’s constituency and Reid begins to wonder if, in fact, the MP’s murder has more to do with greed and corruption than it does with Irish nationalism.

Exactly whimsy!
The next episode is going to Flight-tastic, lots more Damien and from this clip and the preview clip at then end of episode 3, adrenalised and suspenseful!
YAY! He looks so sweet in all the photos. I cannot wait for the weekend to be over! LOL
I thought that "Friday treat" tweet from TA might have been the trailer, got all excited. I sent them a little inquiry as well. Lets hope they release one. Previous ones were released on a Wed & Thurs, but there wasn't a trailer for E1.

The second series of Ripper Street reaches its midway point next Monday, with the biggest episode so far for new recruit DC Flight, played by Damien Molony. Since his introduction, Flight has struggled to prove himself to the men of H-Division with mixed success, but in next week’s episode his big chance arrives when Inspector Reid is persuaded he is the perfect man to go undercover in London’s Irish community for an important investigation.
Also starring Charlie Murphy as barmaid Evelyn Foley, the episode’s exciting storyline promises a new costume, new injuries and new romance for Flight.
The question we’ve all been asking since theseries 2 trailerwill also finally be answered, when we find out what the young detective is confessing to here.
I just got a tweet from TA that there will not be an Ep 4 trailer.

He might confess but we may not find out what it is he's confessing to.... draw out the 'secrets' part a bit longer maybe?
Incidentally, it's not uncommon for promotions and trailers to drop off around now. I think it's common practice for any new or returning show to be promoted to death in the run up and over the first couple of episodes and then it drops off to resume perhaps in the last couple of weeks. It's disappointing but not unusual.
Re the trailer, perhaps it is particularly disappointing because it is Damien's big episode, but we did have the wonderful 'Next Time' trailer at the end of Episode 2, hopefully that may be uploaded somewhere
A line in the 'next time' segment interested me. The red haired girl touches Flight's cheek (as seen in whimsy's avi) and she says something along the lines of 'you scare me'. That made my antennae go up and i wonder whether it's to do with Flight's purported secrets or something that happens within the episode itself. Really can't wait to find out (if possible)
That intrigued me too. Where do we go from him flirting with her over the lemonade, to her stroking his cheek and saying that? I sincerely hope we see ALOT of Flight in this one, and while I do imply filth, I mean in general much of his story, both backstory and how this relationship develops. I have a suspicion about Evelyn though, slightly based on the last spoiler line of that Cultbox article. But I could be wrong. Usually am...
And did you catch the part where he's walking and he looks like he's trying to avoid someone following him, and he reaches for (I think) her hand?

Trying not to speculate too much on the basis of this preview - they tend to be quite misleading! Am not convinced that the confessional scene will happen next ep either......mostly because he's in his suit - which, admittedly, isn't much of a reason.....
Anyway.....only got to wait until tomorrow to find out! Eeeeekk!
