This is good news! Must have this in my DaMo collection. And they are advertising this DVD very early, only 1 ep aired and you can already pre-order a DVD!smile

Excellent news that it is not only available internationally, but is also an all region DVD!

Jozie, yes it's very exciting the DVD is so early, but the release date is after the final episode of series 1 airs on RTÉ.

The DVD info states "available for all regions" which seems pretty inclusive, fingers crossed

I am a little bit puzzled that it can't be made available on rte's international player, but it will be released on all region DVD ax soon as the series ends.  And surprised that it's so soon, considering that they are trying to sell the series to other channels.  I'm definitely not complaining though......!

I agree! That pic of the three has been floating around for a while and we've all not mentioned it, but probably all been thinking the same thing...
I hope Danny is at least on the back cover but should by rights be on the front, from what we've seen so far he is very much a main character!

 Good point fifi.... maybe it will be available on the international player at some point soon, or the subscription app? a DVD is permanent so there would still be a market for it. There would still be a need for international broadcasting rights deals, for a larger international audience to be introduced to the drama in the first place?

I guess they can make money out of DVD's.......maybe more so because internationally people won't have been able to watch it on their player, and they realise that there is an audience hungry to see it.

I repeat - this is not a complaint!!!

I'm with you domino, lets hope that he will be on the back cover!

Curious thing indeed, maybe they will make more awareness of the show this way.. Selling DVD's for international players. IUf they have failed to sell the program to other channels, this might give them huge international attention!
