So that's what his accent was! *shrugs* it sounded all slurry to me.

I got involved two or three days after filming and they'd already cast some of the great actors so I was so excited to get a part.
I wouldn't say I connected with it, but I didn't think I was ever going to be offered.. to play the drug dealer of a record label to be honest. I was this Mancunian marketing manager who was basically supplying the entire label with narcotics and fun times. It was so much fun to film.
Obviously Stelfox has no limits, he wants to be the Head of A & R at this prestigious record label and he is going to do anything he can to make sure that happens. What was great about Nic's performance is that he has an amazing charm to him and behind the scenes he is this cut throat killer and we were just his gang of seven dwarves kind of following him around, from Cannes, to London, to the Brits..and playing these parts it's a real gift.
Stelfox and the Seven Dwarves is a great title!
Damien is saying everything right. Talking about how much fun it was, how great the star is...and he sounds sincere, which is good. Not saying it isn't true, just saying he's doing the 'red carpet interview' correctly.

Haha TJ I was going to write 'dwarves' but the Snow White etc title is dwarfs so I went with that. Think the plural has always been dwarfs but Tolkien introduced the other ..may be wrong! But I digress.
I did wonder whimsy! When you mentioned Damien's Ross accent in your review I thought you meant a cockney accent, which I must admit was the accent I was expecting for Ross! Or a London accent. I now cannot wait to hear this! It's totally the whole Gallagher brothers, with the hair too! More excited than ever !
Domino, I'll bow to your superior knowledge of dwarf plurals. Plural dwarfs are not my thing. (Insert Kili-Fili joke.) As for the accent, I don't know much about the Gallagher brothers, so shall go do a little research. I can't wait to see Damien on the big screen, and I want to make sure I can understand everything his lovely voice says.

Ha! Sorry....I know this is going waaay off topic, but this accent discussion has just reminded me of the Kevin and Perry 'Madchester' sketch "Sorted. Top. Mad for it". Probably my favoirite Harry Enfield sketch ever! I trust Damien will do a better Manc accent than Kevin the Teenager!
haha this whole convo is makig me smile. There are new delights emerging for me about KYF. The fact it is a satire and doesnt take itself seriously and the fact that Damo has the Noel gallagher hair and accent...can't not be an element of Oasis piss take. it's going to be hilarious. I am now imaging Damo like this.. with his tongue firmly in his cheek! haha!
Damien is really appreciating the experience.. Hopefully he's happy with the movie too! He's humble and keep repeating in his interviews how glad he was that he was able to be a part of this, how much fun it was play the part.. And he always, no matter what part he gets, spend time and energy building that character to its finest. The accent, the little things he does.. I'm just hoping to see this soon!
Haha domino that video! Now that imagine is in my head too! I bet he has got some video's like this in his hands after he got the role... Great material to build his character alongside the book! You're right, it's going to be hilarious!
Hehe! Jozie, I now cannot watch that video without thinking of Damo's KYF haircut and his accent - and if you watch it as if it was a satire it is hilarious!
Well said about Damien's dedication, and I agree that it is awesome to hear about the filming experience... and what a cool project to have worked on, for the cast alone. It is such an incredible cast. SO glad Damo is part of it
