Can't wait to see this tomorrow. I'm really looking forward to seeing Damien in a full on comedy role. It sounds like Crashing is going to be full of fun and mischief!

Just as I was starting to get into the story and get to know the characters it was over! That scene in the bedroom was just so painfully awkward.

Quite a few giggles and laugh out loud moments here so it definitely has potential. And Damien looks gorgeous as Anthony and has some adorkable moments, like the pigeon. And who wouldn't want to hear "no, you kiss me" ?!

Well, I loved it! I have worked with someone obsessed with sex (quickest way to shut him up was to say "right, cleaner's cupboard, NOW!") and they behaved pretty much like that. I've also been on quite a few long coach and train journeys and seem to attract the Lulu types - but to be honest would have probably talked to them about the ukulele, tried to play it and sang along (think I've just got to the basis of why those types always seem to sit next to me, even in an otherwise empty carriage). Not enough Damien, hope to see more of him next week, and I really wished I'd had a chance to be a property guardian when I was younger.

Aww, that was alot of fun!  I was cracking up the whole time.  My only complaints are that it moved a bit too fast to let things sink in, it was too short, and the scene with Lulu in the bedroom was a tiny bit forced.  Not the performance, but the actual content.  Otherwise, a very fun start!

Damien in shorts was a nice surprise.  He is most definitely gorgeous as Anthony.  All those lovely smiles!  And him saying things like baby and pumpkin... lust

I gotta say, I'm totally loving Jonathan Bailey's Sam!  I do remember him in Broadchurch, but never seen him in anything else.  He's really great at comic delivery.  And the actress that slapped him.  That was a great scene.

I knew I'd love it from the moment Lulu sang "someone needs an orgasm" in the opening scene!

And that whole joking / not joking tension filled emotional hilarious dance back and forth between Anthony and Lulu AMAZING! And Phoebe Waller Bridge spanking Damien with a ukulele is not something you see every day!

Loved seeing Damien smile so much and my face is aching from laughing!

Jonny Bailey as Sam was brill! anyone else cheer at the Susan Wokoma slap moment?

It was a good slap! I'm sure there are people we would all have wanted to do that to!

One of my friends plays the ukulele but I'm pretty sure she's never spanked Damien with it!

I have to admit I really rather enjoyed that. I'm funny about comedy shows, I tend not to find them funny if you see what I mean. I'm expected to laugh so I don't. I did with this, not falling about laughing but it made me laugh. Sam made me chuckle and so did Lulu. Damien is so far, easily the best thing in it and I loved that fake out scene between him and Lulu, his eyes when the penny started to drop, gosh his eyes ALWAYS manage to pull me in. It never fails. Plus he looked gorgeous, shaggy haired, warm and yummy.

I've left it on the planner because my other half said he wanted to see it (shift worker, was on too late for him to watch with me) and I think he'll like it.

Looked at a couple of reviews (mixed). The Telegraph wasn't keen but said episode two was better and the Radio Times liked it and said that if you weren't sure about episode one then to watch episode two as it was better, it also said it could see a long run for the series. I must say I loved the humour and thought all the acting was excellent.

I thought it was very funny! I wish it were longer though! Everything went so fast! Not enough Damien (is there ever?)
I can't wait to see where everything goes. So much potential for these characters :)

And dear God is he gorgeous!!! Ugh. I feel like he's especially gorgeous in this. So not fair.

Thought I'd come on and see what people were saying about this. I was pretty much sold with the opening scene on the bus. There were about three properly (dare I say it) LOL moments. Until yesterday I thought it was an hour long comedy drama on e4, shows how out the loop I am.

On the hashtag reaction was mixed. It was the extreme ends of "this is rubbish" or "this is brilliant" and that is a really good thing. Indifference won't get people coming back. Some felt the humour was too rude but that's my kinda thing so I liked that!

Criticisms? I felt it was too short, it should have been an hour. It was a bit too busy as I guess they were trying to introduce all the characters. There's also a worry that a few of them won't be very likeable but hopefully over the series we will see more sides to them. It's great to see Damien in something lighthearted.

I do also have a bit of thing for Phoebie Waller-Bridge so Damo... back off Lulu!!

I've got a stinking cold and tbh by 10pm last night I really needed to be in bed, but obviously I needed to stay up to watch this.  In retrospect I probably should've waited but....y'know....  So it was all a bit of a blur, and I fully intend to rewatch it soon.....but I thought I'd share my first impressions.

First impression - My my!!  Damien was looking fine wasn't he biggrin!!  So good to see those Damo smiles.....  Domino - that gif!!!!!

In my somewhat befuddled state it all seemed a bit rushed....and I agree with what everyone else has said about it being too short.  First eps are always a bit tricky - introducing the characters etc, and 30mins (- ad break) hardly gave it room do anything other than that.  It did make me laugh though...no mean feat considering how I was feeling.  And - like the reviews suggest - now that the set up is established it's likely to get even funnier!

Once I've watched it again I'll come back....

(Hi Mikey! *waves* - good to see you!)

I may have watched this 4ish times already.  biggrin In my defense, the first time live through Film On was not great streaming quality.  So I had to immediately rewatch it when it came on demand.  Then I had to keep an eye on it on and off while trying to record twice.  (mixed success).  And then there was the evening viewing with the hubby...

I think I love it even more each time I watch it.  It went by in such a rush that I feel you don't get proper time for the delivery to sink in and absorb the surprising depth of the characters in one viewing. I have the same thought/hope that is an artifact of first episode needing to introduce so many characters and the setting. Multiple viewings in, no longer whooping out loud in shock like the first time - "Fiver says she'll be sniffing your cock" and "you'd like my vagina" take the prize this episode  - and actually pay more attention to the details through my laughter. My cheeks are ready for a break!

Sitcoms are usually not to my taste.  Descriptors I usually associate with sitcoms are boring, unoriginal, slap-sticky, obvious.  They usually lack dimension(and intelligence).  This one has potential.  The humor is fresh and on point, they've given glimpses that the characters are not one dimensional.  The setting is novel, (I think that's a London thing.  We don't have that sort of setup here).  It gives it an almost dorm-like setting with a bit more grown-up themes, which makes it fun without being too juvenile.  I like the sound of long-running (more smiley Damo - yes please).  Now if they could just extend it to one hour long episodes...

I mentioned it before, but surprise discoveries for me were Jonathan Bailey And Susan Wokoma.  Saw him in Broadchurch but didn't make an impression.  First time I see her.  Both hilarious with impeccable comedic timing.

Fifi, I think the adverts lasted longer than the show.  Seriously.  I counted 7 adverts in a row. That rivals our commercial breaks here in the states!

Mikey!  Hey dude, lovely that you joined in.  You can have yukelulu... I want Anthony with his smiles and his pet names and yes those gorgeous eyes that have always been the first thing to draw me in.  I am so looking forward to getting coy when he takes his top of... wink

Ahh domino, big fan of slower gifts.  I'm off to dreamland with visions of Damien's tongue sliding out as he brings the bottle up to his lips...
