Damien mentioned in his recent BBC Radio Leeds interview that his warm up song for 'Travelling Light' is Hall and Oates 'You Make My Dreams', it helps get him into a happier zone for his character Motl.

What is your uplifting feelgood song?!

My feel good song would be Snow Patrol with Chasing Cars. It's so gooooooooooood! :D

Oh, and then there is Polarkreis 18 with Allein Allein.

Another awesome song that makes me feel good. :D

Liking your choices Elieen, Chasing Cars is epic especially when it really kicks in! and I am kind of grateful you got me off the disco dancefloor!!

The other band are new to me, thanks for sharing!smile

this U2 song has always worked for me and even though it is grey and rainy here in the uk today, I woke up with it in my head today!

Probably 'Smooth' by Santana and Rob Thomas. It was hearing his voice that switched me on to Matchbox Twenty who are one of my all time favourite bands. 'Smooth' just puts me in such a good mood.

Hi HalGal, I edited your post to embed the vid! if you go to edit your own post now, you will see how i did it. Thanks, you have made me realise I need to do a 'How To Post A Video' guide on the forum!

Cher is such a diva of the power ballad! Music is so amazing, it reaches parts that other arts don't reach I am glad you found something cathartic to help you through a difficult time *hugs*

Ruby I am feeling the santana Rob Thomas SMOOOOOOTH!

It is a laid back kind of uplift! I have been listening to JJ Cale today (said I was an old hippy) His album Troubador is the ultimate chill out / easy / up vibe album..alway makes me feel blissed out..and how could this song in particular  not get a mention!

Hi HalGal and all, I have done a HOW TO on inserting videos into your posts, hope it helps! http://damienmolony.activeboard.com/t48734116/how-to-post-pics-and-videos/

I get the feeling that most peeps here may think pop and mainstream dance music is deeply uncool, but I love some of it..I am not fixated with any particular genre and have pretty eclectic tastes as long as it is GOOD and makes me feel something. I used to be a raver back in the day when house /acid house was first coming to the uk, and although i prefer  more underground stuff, and stuff with a bit more bass to it, I think what David Guetta has done bringing house to the mainstream is pretty sensational, and that kind of crossover thing. You have to admire the guy and he has been doing it since the underground days too!

For me these are uplifting with a capital U!

The news about Donna Summer saddened me too...

On the bright side, several of mine feelgood songs have been said already, so I'll add this one: smile

(it's that feeling that sunshine is within you even in not-so-nice weather that makes me love it )

Loving all your choices but my current feel good song is Mississippi Isabel by King Charles.

However, after Mr Molony's tweet about dancing around the house to this one....

....I have to say it too raises a smile when i hear it :)

*fingers crossed i've posted the videos right*

Thanks for posting the King Charles vids Becca, yes you did upload them correctly, well done! Is it wrong of me to say I love the videos as much as the music?

Sami, ... great choice, that song also has a really easy going feel to it, the kind of song that gives you a real laid back happy feeling..the kind of stuff I like to listen to if my nerves feel frazzled!
