The Sean Bean 'Accused' is well worth watching Zia, as was Robert Sheehan's. I find him quite a mesmerizing actor, it was funny seeing him in Season Of The Witch where he had to play a small role...it felt so restrained for him even when he is in a serious role it is dramatic!

the second Parade's End last night has maintained my interest, Benedict Cumberbatch is just an excellent actor, without giving spoilers there was a particular scene..that was wow..just wow. Anyone see it?

UJ the concept of once Upon A Time really appeals, alot, and I so tried to get into it, agree with you about Robert Carlisle I persisted because of him but did give up in the end. Not seen Veep! thanks for the recommendation

I was really getting into Once Upon a Time. They do a good job of retelling the tales. But the contrivances, and having the characters act stupid for the sake of it ... such a shame. Despite that, and the dodgy start, I'm enjoying it. It's just not completely gripping me.

Could have sworn I posted this already ... Oh well. Anyone catch The Scapegoat on ITV, with the guy from Edwin Drood and Andrew Scott. Enjoyed it loads.

No, I haven't seen an ep before and as a self confessed history buff, am not in the slightest bit interested in it. I enjoyed Doctor Who this week and am also a SCD fan also- it's the only 'reality' show that I watch but not live as I record it and watch it on the Sunday morning when the family are still asleep

Not seen Downtown either. One of these days I'll try to catch up on it. I like Hugh Bonneville.

Can't seem to watch Strictly. When it first started I caught a bit and it made me wish they'd just bring back Come Dancing. Strangely, I used to catch the companion show during the week and enjoyed that.

OHOH! there is "our" Mr. Rook in Parade's End... biggrin

(I've seen only the first two episodes so far, then decided to wait until I had the whole series to finish watching, having mixed feelings about it. I've spotted Mr. Rook while controlling if the subtitles were working... smile)

I've still to watch Parade's End but I did spot Steven Robertson in the disappointing Bletchley Circle. He was excellent, mind, as was the rest of the cast. Shame about the silly sloppy writing.

I wasn't well last week so I ended up catching up with season one of Downton Abbey. Highly enjoyable. Looking forward to the rest of the show.

Spent the weekend lapping up Season two of The Borgias. Season one was enjoyable but season two has been a hoot.

Finally watched Parade's End. Enjoyed bits of it, but what an anti-climax.

Tried Hundersby. Disappointing.

Season two of Downton Abbey was mainly silly. Gave me a good laugh though.

We all watch Merlin as a family. It's pretty silly but we're addicted!
Dr Who - although the last 5 episodes were a bit *whispers* off-kilter, for want of a better expression. I don't like the short series, just as you get into them, they finish! what's that all about?
watching The Paradise at the moment - it's pretty naff too, but I can't tear myself away!
Trev (him with the camera) has recently bought all of the Star Trek Next Generation DVD's - he had them on video before, so we 're working our way through those at the moment :))
Sherlock is good - dare I say it - I don't like the Cumerbatch must though *hides from BC fans*

Robin of Sherwood back in the 1980's is the only other TV programme that has made me feel the same way that Being Human does! #totallyobsessedandlovingit

I enjoy Merlin too. Came to it pretty late though, caught up with it on the net. Hope this season remembers to keep the humour. Any claims that it's getting darker is no excuse. First season had a story where the king wanted to kill a child. Ah, season one, back when Morgana was a complex character and not a cartoon villain.

And I'd prefer the whole series of Doctor Who too instead of these segments, but I don't mind it so much in this case as it was a natural break.

@UJ I tried to engage fully with Parade's End, but I was left feeling somehow uninvested - although there were some outstanding performances.

@Brookesey I am trying to get into Merlin this time around! My nephew loves it! I love the Arthurian legends and don't mind any reinterpretation of them.
I must confess to being drawn to The Paradise, it's a period piece with some heart..but ..do you find the effect they use on camera for the old fashioned lighting isdistracting? I get the idea, but the blurriness detracts from the visual too much!

And finally...on a shallower note.. Robert Sheehan on Me and Mrs Jones tonight... oof... thud

It's good to hear Buffy is wearing well, Sami. Sometimes I feel like going through my sister's DVDs but there's no way I'm finding the time.

The strange thing about Parade's End is that I found myself routing for Sylvia and Chrissy to get back together! There was so little of Val for the latter half of the series, I might as well have forgotten about her, in relation to Chrissy that is. Meanwhile, the dysfunction of Sylvia and Chrissy was fascinating. Well, it was to start with. It became increasingly two dimensional, flat and repetitive but it still left the near invisible Val in the dust.

Brooksey - I agree 100% with what you said about Merlin and Dr Who.

Also a big Sherlock fan (including Benedict C.) Can't really think what else I watch......historical documentaries mostly! There's also a good series on at the moment called 'welcome to india'. I watch nearly all of my TV on virgin 'catch up' so haven't seen Me and Mrs Jones yet, but I was intending to watch it tonight.

I love a good drama on TV but find there aren't enough good ones on (excluding the above, of course). I did enjoy 'The Syndicate'. Would like more series like The Lakes, GBH, This Life, Life on Mars. Also very sad that Spooks has come to an end.

Not so much 'what you watchin', as 'what would you like to watch'! Sorry.

Hoping that my daughter gets into Aliens vs Wizards so that I have an excuse......(must admit I have a real weakness for bbc childrens drama!).

Mostly just counting down the hours until Being Human becomes a daily fixture again (I did say that I watch most of my tv on catch up!)

Right at this second I am watching the New York Giants stomp over the San Francisco 49ers and later the Houston Texans beat the Green-bay Packers (or so I hope!!!) but for us Brits that's NFL/American Football/Hand-Egg. But show wise, I am about to watch Fringe S4 on Dvd (didn't have Sky when it first came out)

SWITCH kept my attention from beginning to end and left me wanting to see more next week, can't be bad! absolutely loved Fiona Hampton and Lacey Turners' characters, and Caroline Quentin's. It feels to me to be a grower, did enough to get us into the characters and give us a bit of witchiness on the first episode, but have a feeling the storylines are going to get very compelling indeed.

I enjoyed Kate Bracken's performance in New Tricks and only watched the programme for her, it doesn't usually grab me. I am always amazed how an actor can change their native accent especially when it is so strong.

Monroe has the same effect on me that most medical dramas do - a mix of fascination and trauma..! I really am a wimp when it comes to scalpel action. But it makes me smile to see Andrew Gower (though I wish he had less peripheral storylines) and James Nesbitt is always excellent and magnetic to watch.

Thank you for reminding me about Elementary Lisa, I miss Sherlock much..and will take a look at this in a vague and knowingly misguided attempt to fill that unbearable gap! I know I will be disappointed and (nothing can fill the gap left by the chemistry of Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman) but I like to pretend otherwise until the denial wears off!

I'm really enjoying 'Monroe' at the moment. James Nesbitt is really making me chuckle and there's more Andrew this series!

I caught the first episode of 'Switch' last night. I think i liked it, it was pleasant enough but i think i need to watch a couple more episodes first. The Vampire Diaries returned last night too, i think we're only a few days behind the US transmission date and i really enjoyed it. I'm very much TeamKlaus and make no apologies about it.

Series 2 of 'White Collar' returns to UK screens tonight. Series 1 aired on Bravo a couple of years ago, then Bravo was bought up by Sky/Living and the channel was closed down. Sky Living showed half of series 1 on repeat and then promptly dumped it and it hasn't been seen since until Alibi picked it up. It's in its fourth season in the US and i really enjoyed watching it so am particularly excited about seeing it again tonight. 'Elementary' begins here next week and i must admit to being curious about it. Oh and Arrow coming on Oct 22nd. I loved Smallville and i liked the trailer for this even though it seems to be grittier than Smallville so will be checking that out too.

I've seen the first two episodes of Elementary and must say it's not bad at all. Only you should better not think them as Holmes and Watson, but just as two new characters...
