If you look at the website of the casting agents they talk about lots of open auditions for musicians and other people but nothing about main characters. I am probably reading too much into this though.

I read it too, first I thought that he might have been in auditions but then I thought he just might want to share it because he is an actor and that was thing for actors? I dunno... Hmm...

Damien is a supporter of others in many projects, and was very much part of First Light (he presented an award last year) which supports young people in making films. I think he has given inspirational talks to yp in Ireland also. Maybe he is just spreading the word for young people who may want to appear in a film.

Don't get me wrong....I'm very happy that Damien has been tweeting - there have been quite a few theatre tweets recently - but he does seem to have a lot of time on his hands at the moment....

this tweet (from a few days ago) made me smile!

I'm not a fan of too many cop/detective shows, but those that are unique really grab me. LOVED Life on Mars and Sam Tyler almost as much as Suspects and jack Weston!

fifi, I agree.  LOVE him tweeting, but when it's clear he's got time to kill it makes me antsy.  We NEED him to be working.  Withdraws are getting bad.  I've resorted to listening to all his past radio plays & readings and stuff just to get a DaMo hit.  The soonest we know for sure he'll be appearing in something is "Autumn".  Way too long to wait...

Seems like a sign to me! Fingers crossed.

Perhaps the frenzied theatre-going is Damien trying to see everything he wants to before he spends the summer in Dublin filming Ripper Street!
