This is all very possible isn't it? And he'll probably be bearded in it as he had one on Monday (obv, lol!). He did say he couldn't tell us what he was working on (Laura asked about his cryptic tweets), but maybe we will find out very soon.

Hmm...he did say he would tweet about it as soon as he could...he is such a tease!
I guess as Fay gave the name of the show he might be able to tweet about it soon too.

So assuming she is talking about the same show as DaMo, as we suspect, Fay Ripley confirmed Suspects is on Channel 5.

Looking at Channel 5 press releases the only thing mentioned has been 'Evidence' an original drama due to air in 2014 - name change possible?

about.channel5.com/node/1852

EVIDENCE

Evidence is a new procedural crime drama that will debut on Channel 5 in 2014 and sees Channel 5 returning to home grown drama for the first time in eight years.

Executive Produced by Paul Marquess (The Bill, Footballers’ Wives, Hollyoaks), and using filming techniques and a directorial approach usually associated with Factual programming and fly-on-the-wall documentaries, Evidence takes a new approach to drama both in the way it is created and executed.

Each self-contained episode follows ten very different cases - from the committing of the crime, through its investigation and then to the final conclusion - and centres around three core detectives whose professional and personal approach to the job of policing drives the series.

Ben Frow, Director of Programmes Channel 5 said “This is something new for the channel and we’re working with the people who really know this kind of programming. It’s part of my desire to broaden the channel and take calculated risks and I think it will sit comfortably alongside our popular factual programming and our glossy US Acquisitions.”

Donna Wiffen, Head of FremantleMedia’s Worldwide Drama division said: “We are delighted that Evidence has been acquired by Channel 5 in the UK and hope that this is the first of many such deals secured for FremantleMedia. Innovation is a big part of our strategy right now and we are confident that this unique drama format will have universal appeal and will attract further local commissions.”

Evidence has been developed by FremantleMedia’s Worldwide Drama division and is produced by Newman Street (part of FremantleMedia UK) for Channel 5.
TX Quarter 1 2014
Commissioned by Ben Frow, Director of Programmes Channel 5

Amusing wouldn't be my word for it. More like...awesome. I do love a good, geeky boy. :)

I just means that I found it amusing that a grown man was seeing catching fire. Not saying there is anything wrong with that. I love a good geek boy myself. Just found it amusing, that's all.

Damien has delightfully eclectic taste in films, which I can identify with, but even if i didn't, wouldn't judge! just remembering a comment in his interview with the Irish Independent on Sunday
"Film is my obsession. I'd rather spend any spare time I have in the cinema. There's a part of me that thinks that I'll eventually watch every film ever made."

I think that it's easy to identify him with his characters, who thus far have been from older periods and very straight-laced ones at that, and so when we get a glimpse into Damien himself its hard to reconcile? Plus he's so eloquent at interviews and he's such a theatre buff... but then he pulls out things like this or his 1D love. I find his tastes eclectic and adorable, you can sense in his interviews when he talks about his passions - the rugby, coffee, film, 1D... - he gets a bit excited, his language gets less formal. Love it! It makes me giggle a bit, he's such a fan boy in a way.  I've enjoyed all but one of his music recommendations.

I don't see the need, it is somewhat amusing.  But he likes action films (who doesn't) and its an action film...

Should I worry I know as much as I do about Damien?  It will be fun for you to catch up Glofigs. If there's news/infoon the web, it's all linked to and discussed here in the forum and the main fansite.  A great in-depth archive the man himself has said he's looked at in the past.

No worries, you're not screwing up anything. smile

Just a word of caution, the more you find out about him the more you will molonyeffect  Not only is he incredibly talented, he's just the nicest most gracious man.  Intelligent, witty, warm, humble, generous... and super nice to his fans. *le sigh*

Didn't take it in any bad way. But seeing as I don't know a single adult who isn't seeing that movie, I didn't find it odd. Just as geeky as me and all my friends, which is awesome. Heck, I'm pushing forty and adore The Hunger Games! :)

I'm with Damien. There was a time that I saw nearly every movie that came out, regardless of genre. It's no longer that way, because who can afford it, but I do still love my movies! :)

No you're not. You're fine. Using one adjective when someone else uses another isn't screwing up. It's discussion. That's the whole point of a forum! :)
