I've never tried twitter. Can't remember when I last looked at my own FB page. But I'll probably be forced to get into it more maybe later this month. So that's probably a good thing. I'll try to convince myself.

forced to UJ? intriguing! Twitter is a strange land, but has it's definite pluses... Damien's blood donor "campaign" being a prime example! But it is not everyone's cup of tea...we could post your pic on the forum twitter account if you did not feel like doing that, no problem.
I greenlit my own project so I'm going to have to embrace the likes of FB and twitter to ... do whatever those things do. For the sake of the project, I must do this thing.

the project being giving blood UJ? sorry I am slightly lost! either way it will be grand to connect with you in those oft strange but lively lands too!
Didn't mean to be vague. Sorry! I recently greenlit my own script, gonna attempt to produce it myself. So, I'm gonna have to get into all that networking nonsense. Yeah, I'm real enthusiastic about it!

Wow, script for tv, film, play? Without wishing to go very off topic, Greenlit your own script - I could do with knowing how you do that.. Either you're a wo/man of god, or you are speaking from experience!
The last thing I want to do is be a producer! Worst job in the world. But after a lot of bad and difficult experience, I've been forced into it. To be fair to a producer I'm still working with, we've both learned a lot, but I've ended up writing a script (film), suitable for no/low budget so I can have a go with just getting on with things.

Wow, all the very best UJ! I have a couple of scripts that are too close to me to even being to try to do anything with so it is an area of interest, keep us informed, maybe in a different topic if you feel given to share more? (no pressure)
I once failed to give blood. The nurse finally got the needle in but then the blood just wouldn't flow! Frankly I just don't see how that's possible. My blood has gushed out fine on all other occasions (when it's supposed to). No explanation was given so I assume I had a duff nurse.

I cannot give blood, but when I have had blood tests they have to use a child sized needle as Ihave tiny veins. Great defense against vampires, but it would be fun to have Hal try to find them.
Well for me it's teeeny tiny veins.... I got there, waited 2 hrs *not that I mind - had book will read* found out that because I suffer from chronic migraines I have to be very careful giving blood (which is always useful to know) got in the seat and not 1 but 4 nurses tried and failed to find anything passing for a useful vein in either arm, in the end they told me they just couldn't do it, that I would need to wait a full year before they could try again - they even put a note on my file.... :(
I am sorry Peac0ck, especially as it must have been more than a bit distressing..but perhaps the good karma behind your intention to help others will go into the universal pool of goodness and will still help someone anyway!
Nah not distressing, more annoying... I've wanted to give for ages, finally am able to (thanks to the old rules on piercing and tattooing having been changed) get there and the gods have other ideas for me (lol), still I'll try to make my veins better in the year and see what next October yields for me..... However I urge anyone who can to give blood to do so
I donated my 9th pint during the week, and as my 8th was only a few days after Damien's first I thought I would ask if he has given again yet. Unsurprisingly I didn't get a reply but he did retweet me:
Damien Molony retweeted you 14 Nov: Another pint donated. Have you #rolledupyoursleeve again yet @damienmolony ? #giveblood #regulardonor pic.twitter.com/mTyprbFf
I expect to see his arm on twitter again soon...

I gave blood a couple of weeks ago. I ended up with one bruised arm and one massively bruised arm. Should have taken pictures. Just not used to doing that kind of thing. Taking pictures. I've even fallen back into the habit of keeping my mobile off.
Til next time then. I'm sure I'll bruise up again. But then, I'm more likely to remember which arm the blood prefers to exit my body from.

Well I donated again on the 3rd of January and Damien was lovely enough to RT me again
Gosh it was a right faf this time though....in fact so much so that I'm not sure if I will actually do it again..maybe I'll try again in the summer as your veins are meant to be easier to access? Xx
Would your blood not come out, Su? That's happened to me. Everyone had to come over and chat to me, make sure I was fine with them jabbing needles into both arms and moving them around, trying to get the vein. But I'll be doing it again in March. You've reminded me to book the appointment.
