I'm sure mine are more hazel than brown. I was always told they were brown. Maybe they once were.

fascinating really! Do you mean your eyes change colour UJ? mine do too, they are hazel but sometimes more green, or brown.and occasionally a quite unsettling amber. An iridologist once told me eyes can change colour with health and for example if you went on a detox, there would be less flecks and specks, and they would become clearer!

I don't think they change colour (not in my case). I think it's a question of light and for some reason my sister keeps insisting they're brown. She wants to be the only one with hazel but I'm sure her eyes are more brown than mine. Basically, she's mental. Now that does run in the family.

coloured contact lenses can be fun ! shame they cannot do one that makes your whole eye go black...

I had to practice quite intensely when I first got contacts. I stopped wearing them when I bought glasses I really liked. If extra money comes in next year I'd like to go back to contacts. There are times it's a bit more convenient, like when I'm attempting to do kick boxing. If I turned up to kickboxing with snake eyes ...

Although we know that the Being Human vampire eyes are FX, apparently all black contacts do exist!

But I don't know how they can fit in the eye, contacts are usually round and cover the pupil and iris only, how can they cover the white of the eye?!

Sami I wore the amber eyes a couple years ago! I was Alice for Halloween and at the Twi-Con that year. I won second prize for my Alice costume.

but it sounds like I'm considerably older than you so they probably looked alot cuter on you. lol

Yes I was Alice from Twilight. I was a big Twilight fan, the books more than the movies, but I had fun with the movies and Cons. Met about a dozen of the actors. Met a fabulous group of quilters like me on the TwilightMoms forum but left the forum & just have a private FB group & blog. We've made several Twilight themed group quilts that we auction for charity & sent one to Stephenie Meyer that she mentioned in an interview & sent us signed books. I'm toying with idea of making a Hal quilt now. Obsessing about it actually but I have so many projects going on. Sorry a little off topic.
