"Best yet" what? Out of all the cards and presents we've sent him?? :D So glad he got it in time for Christmas. Then he sent another tweet later from a restaurant near the office. He's had a good afternoon in the West End.

The fact that Damien emphasized "EVERYONE" is really important, he was tweeting us ALL - it is obviously not possible to tweet everyone individually but I feel it was lovely to convey his gratitude to the group that way.
The forum twitter account is the vehicle that is all, and that is an honour for me, but his tweets and the sentiments expressed (and the kisses) are equally for us all! grouphug

Laura I m now taking it that he meant from the cards we have sent..wow ..maybe we are setting the benchmark too high...I am not sure if we can top this!

I liked how he emphasized EVERYONE too.
The tweets directed to you Domino as the forum as you did a great job in choosing the card & getting it to him, but the EVERYONE bit shows that he's read our messages.

Not going to lie.. it does require a certain level of work and dedication to run the fansite forum and the pages connected, but it is fun and keeps me out of trouble. I am amazed and grateful that we have 128 members who are true genuine fans and stick by Damien through the quiet times and the busy times and make this place a home for us all. We have come a long way, I am proud of us all. grouphug

Hi Lisa! Agree - it must be very hard for Damien to please all of his fans and he is very conscientious about that on Twitter i feel. It was very deliberate and thoughtful wording. We were lucky to receive a tweet at all, a very lovely surprise. glitter

I just remembered this card we all sent to Damien last Christmas, so it was Scrooge.. but he was in period costume, in Victorian England..a premonition? I wonder if Damien knew about Ripper Street then?

The press release announcing the S2 commision was on 29th of January.

I'm sure they decided to recommission it right after the first episode aired at the end of Dec. Or they waited to make a decision after it aired in the US on the 19th of January.  Either way it doesn't seem likely that they even held auditions before the announcement.

But based on what I heard, it's likely Damien knew by the time bloggers went to see him in If You Don't Let Us Dream.
