One line "If i can't feel, then what's the point?" If it's alluding to what i think then it does explain a lot towards Hal's character and especially his notoriety as Lord Harry. We shall see.
There is a lot one could read into the words. I think they're purposely putting ideas into people's heads by having those words spoken and then showing him sat beside Alex smiling implicating that the 'feelings' he speaks of are for her. Trailers often do that. It's meant to be exciting yet misleading. "If I can't feel then what's the point?" Such an ambiguous phrase.
So much going on in that trailer whilst giving away very little. As it should be. He looks amazing in his uniform. And, dare I say, we might actually get to see the moment he is 'turned' if that brief flash is anything to go on.

What flash do you mean?

I think his accent is brilliant. A lot of the time when an Irish man tries to do an English accent they come over as very Downton; very OTT in their pronunciation. It starts to sound like an American trying to do a Brit accent and can be very generic. Damien's is brilliant. If not for his name I would not have guessed that he was Irish at all.
*sigh* this trailer is just purely epic.....I love it, I love Hal, I love Alex, I love Tom, I even love rook! A couple of scenes from being on location that I saw! Can't wait to watch full episodes now! Only 9 days to go! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :D xx

I very much doubt that would hint at Hal's recruitment. He was recruited in the 16th Century and that uniform isn't from then, it's much later, like a couple of centuries later. I would love to see how Hal was recruited though.
Every time I hear this trailer start up my insides do a little flutter! I forgot that it starts when you open the page and sneaked in here while I was at work.....and the trailer started up full volume! Good job I was on my own!!
Still not sure I can be coherent enough to say anything intelligent!
Thought I'd got a grip and I'd attempt to post something intelligent.....then the trailer started and it all went to pot again!
I always find it interesting how programmes choose to advertise themselves and have just been musing over the fact that this seems quite dark. The closest we get to a smile is from Captain Hatch. Even the 'that could've gone better' at the end (traditionally the 'funny' bit?) isn't exactly light hearted. They all just look so sad!!
Also notice that the werewolf isn't tom, and the vampire isn't hal...... And Mr Rook?! Intriguing.
Yes, it is intense but that makes it a great trailer - I think we are in for some mega things in series 5, but also believe there will be all the shades of darkness to light! the first footage we saw on T4 of Hal, Tom and Alex was very funny!
I feel like this series is going to be like the series 2 of the new trio... Like, series 1 and 4 where the more lighthearted series where the character were introducted, and series 2 and 5 are a bit darker and more adventurous
Also, I can't seem to figure out what Hal means by 'If I can't feel then what's the point?' If he can't feel what?

I think I know what you mean Lau, perhaps a little establishing of the trinity first, with Alex as the new HH ghost, after Annie. The writers have always kept the stories moving forwards apace though, series 4 had the war child saga and also managed to squeeze in the introduction of a new supernatural type in episode 5 ( what will we have in series 5 I wonder? ) and the excellent Kirkby and Adam adventures!
I am longing to find out the answer to that too - many possibilities occur but I want to wait and see!😀
