oh yes....fantastic interview.  It was somehow very reassuring to be able to read this in the middle of my being human meltdown. 

 

Lol I read it that he had tried, then after the Trinity knock back and on his other path of business and economics and social studies (which has always struck me as an intriguing choice in relation to his initially wanting to go into acting, rather than something like literature or film ) fate brought him back in that direction again when his friend asked him to take over his part!

I just realised Damien mentions Shadow Of The Vampire, lol! I asked him on twitter if he had seen it, after seeing his 3 favourite vampire films interview video. That question answered then.

“It gives an electricity to a scene if in the back of your head you’re thinking ‘I could totally sink my teeth into your neck right now’. Although I’m not method enough to actually go hungry.” those Hal scenes where he is confronted with temptation..blood...fangtastic acting.
