A 'Rainforest Alliance Tropical' array with mini ornamental bananas, as a jokey wink to Hal - we also know how much Damien dislikes bananas - in the name of humour it had to be done, even if it brought a laugh then got thrown in the bin! but glad to see them still in his dressing room.
the message sent with flowers:
'Dear Damien, We hope these keep you and your 3 characters amused for the whole run, we know how you 'love' bananas! break a leg! There in spirit, fan love and applause, domino and all at the forum x'
Damien said the last ones we sent lasted for 3 weeks, fingers crossed for these! I'm worried now that the mini bananas were no included or maybe he threw them out! Lol!
Lol! Well, i thought being tropical they would be more used to drier climes! haha! but yes, i think lighting and the actual foliage itself is not all green. But they are Damien's now and he is free to do what he likes with them, including parching them! better keep them away from Captain Hatch...
It is a little hard to see from the pics, but apparently they are massive so maybe Damien is being literal when he says they have taken over his dressing room. triffids..or something! and how unobservant that I only just noticed the feet in the background of that photo!
Apparently he can't even stand the sight of them? Maybe his co-stars snacked on them - it's a plant-eat-man, man-eat-plant-back situation. What kind of carnage is going on backstage?
Hey, domino, you mentioned the triffids first. I was just riffing (!) on your post.

Lol you mean the whole Hal hates bananas and so does Damien we have heard in many interview is just a ruse to get us to send him bananas Kayla? haha!
No i think he really detests them, and this gift hopefully gave him a chuckle before he removed the banana part far far away!
I am feeling old remembering the original tv drama in 1981 (which was better i my opinion) before the 2009 one The day Of The Triffidsbased on the John Wyndham novel, but it was excellent and so so scary!
