We all want to see Damien in Being Human: The Film, or a TV spin off for Hal, but just for fun, if his near future acting career could only be for ONE of the following areas ( he has already worked in all four ) what do you hope Damien does next.....
I'm voting for television just because then everyone will get to see him in action and we can all enjoy it together rather than theatre where only certain people will be able to experience it :) xx

I'd love for him to do audio books incidentally, he has the perfect voice for it...or failing that, reading stories for CBeebies...Lee Ingleby and Richard Armitage both did it and were fab, i think Damien would be too. I'm quite surprised he hasn't been approached to do voice over work.
I just saw Welcome to the Punch tonight & whilst not overly happy with the film, James McAvoy gave a good performance in a role I could totally see Damien playing. This got me thinking about McAvoy's career & the roles he's played and I think the same type of career is so within Damien's ability & hopefully grasp.

Thank you to everyone who has voted in the poll so far - in the lead we have television with 70%, followed by theatre at 30%.
I also voted for television, also for accessibiliy reasons and because Damien comes across so well on screen. It was a tough call betwen tv and film because would love love love to see Damien in a full length feature film! (and loads of other things like audio books too Lisa!) but the point of this poll was to be hypothetical and say if he coudl only do ONE thing - so it hads to be TV!
The idea of Damien being given the chance to develop a character, to portray that character in a number of storylines -as he has done with Hal - is what appeals to me most about television.. far more scope with character arc and depth. Not only that, but far more actual screen time... a film is a one off piece.. tv is usually episodes and episodes can be series....!
(just to add.. I am also very excited to hear Damien again on the radio in May!)
oooh Becca, i just noticed you voted for film.. we must have been posting at the same time! It as a tough call for me.. and have this very strong feeling that we may just see Damien on the big screen one day!
I voted television too. I can only get to the theatre on rare occasions as I live on the Isle of Wight. Of course he could come over here and do some theatre work but it is unlikely. Southampton or Portsmouth is easy for me though.
What I would really like (and I've mentioned this on a couple of other forums) is a spin off for Hal. Lord Henry Yorke - The Early Years! The series could last 500+ years!
bingo! I think you may have hit upon the perfect tv show for Damien. This. Must. Happen.
Of course, it could only go on as long as Damien remains looking the same age, unless he discovers the Fountain of Youth....I can see it now A Mighty Boosh/Being Human crossover..what I would give to see Damien and Julian Barratt on the same screen again.. sigh.. (apologies to anyone who is not familiar with The Mighty Boosh fountain of youth)
I too have heard the Rumours on facebook of him being on DoctorWho. But one part of me is like "Iv been watching doctor who since 2005 and to have Damien in it would be so awesome i will pass out" and the other part of me is just screaming "Please don't let him be on doctor who. Hes not ready"

I know we all would be happy with wherever and whatever Damien chooses to do and support him as his fans but the poll is just for fun...and you can only choose 1! (and that almost rhymed and everything!)
I finally went for theatre, but as long as it's good (subjective, I know), and as long as he does do something (impossible to imagine otherwise!), then I'll be happy.
