I now have a rather wonderful mental image of the band sitting playing in the corner of the bar while Hal is singing, dancing and recruiting!

I never considered that the singing was done in shot? if so that is highly impressive non warbly singing considering all the leaping about!

There has been quite a lot of debate in my house as to whether this is sung 'live' or not!  I'm inclined to think it is....there are a couple of (minor!) wobbles which, if it was recorded in a studio, there wouldn't be any reason for.  And I would expect the sound reprodudtion to be better. Having forced other members of my family to watch this repeatedly whilst listening on headphones, they are now inclined to agree.....although that could just be to shut me up! 

Highly impressive indeed.

I always thought it was live? (I think you can hear it when he jumps off the chair)

I'm not sure but I think someone on tumblr asked him about it and he said it was live.

I am absolutely not sure if it is live or not and may just remain unsure forever, I guess this means i am going to have to keep watching and re-watching forever too? sigh. it's a tough job but someone has to do it.

I think it is live because he has a little catch of his breath towards the end just before he turns round and does the big finish.  It is when he says "umberellas"!
