The only other alternative i think would be an 'recurring guest role' suggesting maybe two episodes.
I think if Damien is still in Dublin at the end of the month then it suggests (that word again!!) that he's in it for more than an episode. I estimate it takes between 10-14 days to film a single episode and filming for s2 begain April 29th and it was shortly after that that we found out he was filming Ripper Street.
Ruby - yeah....but being in Dublin doesn't necessarily mean that he's still filming.....and being in London doesn't necessarily mean that he's finished filming. lol!
I am shocked that it did not win anything, but I have to say that I do like Last Tango In Halifax. As Ann Reid said, it's nice to have a love story about people that are over 35 and the supporting cast were amazing too.

Ripper Street is 2 weeks into filming (according to Jerome Flynn on the BAFTA red carpet) is anyone else reaching this point wanting to know about Damien's role ? -->

Dear Tiger Aspect, "Full casting details will be released to you in the next week" .... 2 more days to fulfill your commitment to this...otherwise you will quite literally have unleashed the beast!
I'm torn between feeling really wanting some official confirmation, and thinking that all we're going to get is confirmation that he has a guest role, which I'm already convinced about!

I just called Tiger Aspect regarding that press release the receptionist put me through to Iann McCallum's line but it went straight to voicemail "Would you like to leave a message Mr Denaude?" "No is there anyone else in your Press Dept that maybe able to help with my enquiry?" NOT. At this point my alter ego Danny Dyer takes over my thoughts............."Joke innitt"!
No press release in my inbox so i emailed Tiger Aspect again!
Dear Iann McCallum,
I recently emailed you regarding the Actor Damien Molony & asked for confirmation that the Actor had joined the cast of "Ripper Street" for series 2 filming. In your response you mentioned that the information i was requesting would be in a press release within this week.As i have not received the press release from you & have been unable to speak with you directly can you just confirm if Damien Molony is a new cast member or just a guest actor or if he is neither.
i'm really excited about Damien being in this..it's a perfect show for him. love the attention to detail in the period settings and costumes. hope he is a regular or at least a recuring character during the series. it's usually a good sign if an actor goes from one BBC show to another. it shows they want to keep them employed in quality drama. like when an actor leaves a soap like Eastenders, Holby City, Casualty etc then gets a guest role in a series drama like Doctor Who etc. Which i'd love to see DM in as well..

Kind Regard's Jean Baptiste Denaude
Subject:The release has been held back. You will be told when it is released.
Oh now, that response from Tiger Aspect Productions sounded just a tad snotty don't you think? abrupt much?
And i've completely forgotten what i was going to say now....
Oh yes, speculation about Damien's character from the photo that appeared a few weeks ago.
Given we don't know what character he's playing, whether he's a guest actor or a regular (still thinking it's the former but he's gone very very quiet on Twitter again while i know essentially isn't anything new for Damien per se, unless he's on holiday, he's even quieter than normal which may mean he's not a guest actor...but that is pure speculation!) going by his clothing, he does look more well to do than the chap on the left of the picture which may suggest a better class of person. I'm sure we will discover more...eventually...whenever that may be...
