I'm kind of resigned to the idea that we're not going to find out any more about Damien's character. It's surely got to be more than one ep if he's still filming, and the total lack of info does suggest......something!
OK....so it turns out I'm not resigned at all. I'm impatient!!!
I can happily wait to see what sort of character he's playing. I don't feel any need to know what the storyline might be. But I desperately want to know how long he's going to be on my tv for! And it seems pretty unlikely that we're gonna know that until we see it.
does this give us any clues on Damien's character?

The mention of empire sparked off a whole new line of thought...as the polarities on victorian London become more extreme...poverty and wealth, slums and opulance.....a philanthropist ? a ruthless landlord ? something politically extreme in either direction? A corrupt politician with an opium habit ?
The costume would suggest he wasn't a Hobbs replacement Lisa, though I guess he could be in plain clothes?
@Kat I saw that as well. This guy knows how to promote himself! Damien has Domino to promote him. LOL
So, this actor (Jassa Ahluwalia) tweeted yesterday he finally got permission to reveal he is a guest lead (presumably in one episode?) That tweet makes me think that Ruby's theory is very plausible. If Damien had been in only one episode (as a guest lead) he likely would have been done filming. And if he's a new regular character he might not have been given permission to reveal anything yet even if he has been confirmed. Of course Damo is also just being his usual quiet self! LOL. As off a couple days ago he's still in Dublin.
I'm getting more and more excited because it sounds like we're going to have more and more of him on he telly!!!

I still have my fingers firmly crossed that it's going to be positive, when we finally get info; although it's all positive that he's in it at all of course!
That Jassa guy is represented by the same agents, interestingly, and has an official website (not as good as here though )...
Hurrah! So glad. This means that he's in more than one episode. I wonder if he'll be like David Dawson, who plays the reporter Fred Best (about the same age as Damien and a looker too). He had a regular role and was in 6 episodes.
Still can't decide if Damien is going to be a goody or a baddy. I hope a baddie (maybe a corrupt police man) who sees the errors of his way and turns good.

We'll have to make friends on Twitter with some of the crew, so they'll post pictures. I loved getting the tweets during filming from the Being Human crew like Ryan, Michael and Laura. I really miss them. Some film companies don't mind the tweets. Maybe Tiger Aspect as a company don't allow them.

It was great having a reply from Tiger Aspect on twitter today, really exciting that they were on their way to location and Damien would be there!
I am the boring git who never uses the word stalking in jest kat but it would be very cool for any fan to watch Ripper Street filming! especially if Mr Molony were on set
I am still not allowing myself to assume that Damien still filming means anything...we technically don't know when he began...maybe the original pic we saw was a costume fitting or something something something.... OH OK THEN....it must be more than one episode recurring role! must it not?
