Agree with you both! A tiny bit mysterious as to why they mentioned The Muskateers as coming very soon just before that... But I am still crossing fingers that it is also very soon for Ripper Street!

yay indeed!

I have been refreshing the unplaced programmes page on the BBC Media site all day...

Ripper Street 1/8 is an unplaced programme for the week 26 October to 1 November:

Now just which day?? Have a feeling it may now be Monday, which will be really annoying because that's pub quiz night, so will never be able to watch live!

Definitely looking more likely to be Monday or Tuesday, unless they have the week wrong and it is going to be Nov 3rd after all...

We don't need luck for this one it's an inevitability! It's coming!! If the predicted air date remains in the week of 26 Oct - 1 Nov, we should definitely have a trailer this week! actioncamera makemovies movietape

I'm not going to be drawn into this speculation....this way madness lies.  Oh no...not me....I'm going to step away from the computer now....

LOL!! Who am I kidding?!

So.....there are 2 available slots, and 2 unplaced progs for the week of 26 Oct - 1 Nov?  The Escape Artist was listed first, and they've now released a trailer, so I guess that will be placed first.  If RS were to start on Wed 30th Oct....it would take the Wed night schedule right up to the week before christmas (Christmas day would be the following Wed) I have no idea how that is in any way relevent...to anything!!

But I'm still half expecting it to be Sun 3rd Nov...it has indeed been known for the BBC to move programmes, even after they have given a tx date....!

I'll stop now....

Lol Kat....I took too long to write that didn't I?!  Back to the drawing board.....

Absolutely!  Considering they are both due to start in the same week, it really should happen.....well - NOW!! (not that I'm impatient or anything)

So it has to be a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday night for Ripper Street - and currently DIY SOS holds the Tuesday slot... on Wednesdays The Great British Year has it's last ep 9pm 23 October, so I am going for Monday28th or Wednesday 30th .. UNLESS it moves to the following week on the media site (which has been known!)

This means absolutely nothing but BBC Media Centre changed the order of the three "Unplaced Programmes" on their Week 44 page.  They Listed The Escape Artist before Ripper Street yesterday.  All three still say "Day and Time to be confirmed".  Just found that an odd thing, they're just fiddling with the page I suppose.

I think I have too much time on my hands! LOL

Can't be Wednesday 30th. The Ambassadors is on then. It's looking like Monday or Tuesday...

The Ripper Street 2 Media Pack is up on the BBC Media Centre page with complete character profiles and a very spoilerish interview with Matthew McFadyen (not a single mention of Damien! boo!)

I'm wrong! Didn't read the info right!

The Ambassadors is on BBC2, not BBC1 on Wednesdays, so it's still up for grabs!

Both the TV Times and TV & Satellite Guide for next week report in their 'Next week' column Ripper Street is back. So that is in two weeks time.

To that I say, hubba hubba. Hubba hubba indeed.

I did #yay very quietly when i saw the back page of my TV & Satellite Guide too. And i'm hoping there'll be print press publicity (tv press publicity would be nice too) in the run up too, a couple of tv guide covers (Radio Times & TV and Satellite Week to name two) would be lovely as well.

I'm thinking either Monday or Tuesday night too now, if they could've hung on a week then it could've got it's old Sunday night slot back, i'm sure The Paradise used to be on through the week (never watched it so not entirely sure) so i wonder whether they've swapped. Tuesday night might be the night for Ripper Street, watching and waiting to find out.

I don't know if they would have gone for that Sunday slot Lisa, it would be up against Downton? I mean, I know which one we'd all watch....but we did read that a BBC Spokesperson had said that wouldn't happen.
I am hoping Wednesday...midweek seems somehow better than beginning of week...but Ripper Street still seems to be a Sunday show to me so any other day feels a little odd right now!
