You may notice the 'Latest' tab in the menu at the top of the forum now has a dropdown box, for 'Forum Topics' and 'Damien News'
the 'Forum Topics' tab is for all the latest forum topics that have been commented on here. The 'Damien News' takes you to the latest major Damien news on the main fan site.
This feature has been added because for visitor coming here, a tab which says 'latest' but has topics on all kinds of things listed can be a bit confusing, if they are just searching for the main Damien news.
I hope this works for peeps, as always, any feedback is welcome.
*whispers* I'm not keen on the new addition. sorry. going to the "latest" has always been my go-to action coming onto the forum. now it requires an extra step. However I'm not saying this to criticize, just feedback. I'm sure I'll get used to it. It is good for people to be able to access the latest Damien news.

thanks for the feedback whimsy, don't worry it is good to have your honest opinion!
I was getting feedback that the 'latest' button was confusing because it took people to latest forum topics not the latest on Damien, understandably it could be a bit confusing for a visitor if they click on 'latest' and get lots of admin of off topic items appear.
I think there is a place for both latest on Damien and latest forum topics, but, if we can think of a way to make this work for everyone I am totes open to suggestions!
Hmmm - must admit, I agree with whimsy. But I totally see your point, domino....can't think of a better solution, and I'm sure I'll get used to it. If inspriation strikes, I'll let you know!!
Just checking in with everyone to see how this new feature is going down ow you have had a chance to try it?
If the feeling is still generally negative, we could go to plan B - return the 'Latest' tag to forum posts and add a 'news' item on the 'Damien Molony' tag dropdown menu.
