Running with a Ghost - Sequel to Walking with a Ghost

The Being Human story I've been writing that began after Series 4 is now a total of 10 chapters into a sequel. Figured it was high time I shared it here! I have at least 10 more chapters plotted out which will make this another novel-length fan fiction. 

Running with a Ghost 

Sequel to Walking with a Ghost. Involving the non-severed ties of Hal's past coming to bite him, Rook and the MiG and the shifting power balance of the supernatural world post Old Ones. (SPOILERS warning for Season 4 and Walking with a Ghost)

I'm up to Chapter 10 and loving this. I am very late to the Being Human party so I am only starting to read the Being Human fics now!

*looks sheepish* I don't make it on here nearly as much. I blame Hal. That DaMo fella is just distracting!

But yes - lots more chapters! Just posted chapter 26, with some of my secret mythology slowly coming revealed. Grand fun!

Thanks for the welcome saemay! I'm reading Running with a Ghost. I couldn't seem to find a link to Walking with a Ghost - should I have read that one first? I've read Whimsy's Set you Free and Rubyrosettared's Numb too, both of which I highly recommend.

I'm new to writing fic as well as new to reading it, but my muse is Albert Flight! I've posted a few stories on this forum if you wanted to have a read ;)

Walking with a Ghost starts after the end of series 4, with Hal still chaired. Mostly focused on the house, Alex & Tom with Hal's recovery and how he and Alex end up together. Quick read despite the length as it isn't nearly as complicated at the sequel! Not entirely necessary to understand/follow RwaG, but here is the link:

Albert Flight is a lovely character, but my heart truly belongs to Hal. So much so that I haven't read ANY Ripper Street fic whatsoever.
I'm *quite* familiar with Whimsy's fic (LOL) as we have collaborated a bit and also proofread for each other.
Ruby Rosetta Red is a master and was my first introduction to BH fic. It's a high aim to write nearly as well!

Thanks for posting the link to Walking with a Ghost. I look forward to reading that too! I began by reading Whimsy's fic before I started watching Being Human (in fact her story inspired me to watch it).

I guess I first came to Damien through Flight so perhaps that is why my heart is with him! There are so many gaps in his story and we don't yet know how it will end so it's fun to let your imagination run with him. I don't feel I know Hal well enough yet to write anything about him.

Wow! That is quite a neat way to have been introduced to Being Human! Whimsy's fic truly translates well then if you were able to come into it before seeing any of the show. Super cool!
I just came down with the flu once and was handed series 1 & 2 by a friend. He didn't realise the trouble he started!

Albert Flight IS intriguing - also in context with Irish history as well (which I studied back in the day). Looking forward (and hope!) we get to see more of him in the upcoming series.

I hope we get to see more of Flight too! It was the not knowing what would happen to him at the end of series 2 that inspired me to write my first bit of fan fic. I wanted to give Flight his redemption and a happy ending and it all started from there.
