Haha! we are such a hungry bunch! I think Fay Ripley has most of the lines in the trailer fifi. but honestly I don't mind about the sound, Damien being the actor of expression that he is, it's most satisfying! but I wouldn't mind the trailer being aired again... like, NOW.
Lol glo, welcome to the world where everything exists through Hal quotes. you have arrived.
Finally got to hear that lovely Irish accent. Le sigh.

He looks soooooo handsome in the trailer *sigh*. I don't normally like facial hair but his looks nice, it suits him I think. I hope they hurry up and tell us an air date tho or it will be like Ripper Street all over again, waiting, waiting, waiting.

Damien will be back on our TV screens very soon in Channel 5 drama ‘Suspects’, alongside Fay Ripley and Clare-Hope Ashitey.
Shot in a ‘mockumentary’ style, with some dialogue improvised by the actors, ‘Suspects’ is a brand new crime show, the first original drama commission for the channel in eight years.
The first teaser trailer, debuting on uk television on Friday and released online today, gives us our first exciting glimspe of his new character “man of action” and “acute emotional intelligence” Detective Sergeant Jack Weston.
Check it out below.
‘Suspects’ is a ten episode series and is expected to premiere in February.

So, how are we feeling about DS Jack Weston so far (aside from his obviously thuddable appearance!) Suspects is certainly going to have it's harrowing material by the looks of things, it is going to be fascinating seeing Damien bring this character to life!
Aside from his looks, which is a really hard thing to stop thinking about...
What I notice most is there is an intensity to him, a focused look on his face. I wonder what his role is exactly, what his specialties are. It looks like he's at the lead in the field, and we can see him gathering evidence (blue rubber glove). He's yelling at the person in the car for answers, slamming someone up on the wall, so he's not afraid to push, but in the interrogation room DI Martha is clearly in command. He looks exasperated at her in that last shot.
I wasn't sure what to think when we first heard about this, the "improvised script & mockumentary style", but DAMN it looks good!
It's been a while since I watched "police procedurals", but was a CSI and Law & Order addict (the originals of both), so I think aside from Damien being in it, I think I will like this very much!

I *really* want this to do well, or at least be better than the improvised rubbish that was on ITV last year (Crime Stories) I'm hoping that it looks better than that did (and i think it does)
I want to get excited and i am because hey, it's Damien and i love crime procedurals and dramas so i have everything crossed. If nothing else, i'll tune in just to droooool over Molony. Beardie scruff, tousled hair, leather jacket, shirt... i'm sold already....
Whimsy I wasn't sure it was Jack doing the shouting at first, but thank you for clarifying, how exciting.
Liking your rationale, Lisa
The look he gives Marth in the interrogation room is intriguing. Finding out about Jack' emotional intelligence is possible the thing i look forward to most. Does this mean he is fully as ease and able to express his emotions or that he is incrediby empathic and able to read others peoples and use that in his investigatvei work...perhaps often seeing things that his colleagues cannot (and perhaps causing conflict?)
love it that it is mainly forumers who have posted comments on the trailer on the channel 5 site! (don't forget to add yours to let them know how excited we are for Suspects!)
OK - I may have watched this a few times.... I'm actually getting really rather excited about this now - as Ruby said "because hey, it's Damien and i love crime procedurals and dramas"....and Fay Ripley (everyone loves Fay Ripley, don't they?!)
I think that was one of the dates mooted, i remember because i'm in London that weekend.
I'm thinking once the Celebrity Big Brother rubbish is finished then we'll get to hear more about 'Suspects'. I'm keeping my ear to the ground re interviews, press and whatnot, with it being the first original drama in several years, i'm hoping it'll get a little bit publicity.
