Anyway, in these scenes I got that feeling that Jack was the "man in the group" more than literally, his ego came out in these scenes. Somehow you can see in his expressions that he is ruling the situation in those rooms..
In CCTV room notice right off that Jack seems comfortable and definitely Charlie's boss.

what I recognised was that Laurie said before, he didn'T know Robbie well but in the interview he said, that he never leiked him around, which wouldn't make sense, if ha hadn't known him much before
His body language to me shows almost contempt of Laurie. He's clearly a drunk and his story is fishy.

good point whimsy, charlie comes across as incredibly good at her job, but it is clear Jack is her boss.he has a bit of a swagger already in this scene

Just want to say.. it is really hard to talk about this stuff without it being upsetting, it's a harrowing subject matter so if we skate over the details of the crime or the evidence it is not because we are being flippant
Scenes 25, 26, 27, 28, Jack and Martha interview Toby about Robbie and the blood stained t shirt, Charlie locates Robbie (15 mins)
Scene 25: 14.53-16.06
Jack and Martha interview Toby, who is with Fiona (Grandmother). Jack shows Toby the e fit and he identifies him as Robbie and says he sees him in the park sometimes. When Martha asks him if he phoned Robbie that evening, Toby closes up again. Martha suggests they have a break and leaves the room with Jack.
Scene 26. 16.07-16.28
Martha shows Charlie and Jack photos of Toby's blood stained photo found in the Wilkins' garden.
Scene 27. 16.29-17.11
In an interview room, Jack shows Toby (who is still accompanied by Fiona) the t shirt photos. Toby says he had a nose a bleed.
Scene 28. 17.12-17.54
Martha and Jack talk in the corridor about how to get Toby to open up. Jack says he is lying about the nosebleed. Charlie comes to tell them she has found Robbie on cctv footage, Jack says he'll grab a car and a copper and go and pick him up.
I wasn't so upset until the end, all the time I was thinking that little girl was missing, not dead. It was little sad. And the last scene. But, we are getting to that.
I love how the blood on the t-shirt makes you think Toby was involved and then it turns out it's because he was being abused. They lead you around the plots so well.

So these scenes cover 2 interviews - one with Toby to identify Robbie from the E fit.. and who is he? is he a friend? do they hang out? where? and one about his t shirt, both interview Toby is accompanied by grandma Fiona
Ok, in these scenes I noticed first time who was really the boss. Martha. Jack was acting so very different way around her than Charlie, in these scenes Jack was more nodding type of person (like in the scene 27)
In general I don't watch the series for the crimes and have been able to distance myself from the subject matter quite a bit. I also had the same reaction Jozie - I was convinced that they would find the girl alive, so I wasn't upset until they actually found the box. And when they told the mom and heard poor Toby's account. But yes, will discuss when we get to those scenes...

we dont; know yet about the abuse Jane, we may suspect but it is confirmed in later scenes.
the young actor playing Toby, Jamie F Glover, was brilliant.
Agree about the finding of the blood making you think one thing then they twist it around. Just a general comment, they have done a very good job with this show making it hard to guess who the culprits are. Lots of twists and turns.
