Then again, the public might see the conversation and join to comment so...I don't know.  Guess it doesn't matter.

Sorry Ithaca, just saw your vote.

I went ahead and made it private.. I do feel lurkers need to make a bit of an effort..it took me 2 days to do the scene breakdown... its only fair!

Ok, ready to begin? remember, it's scene by scene and timed, let's stick to the scenes in hand so it doesn't get chaotic. thanks!

Domino,

It makes complete sense to have it private now that I am thinking on it.

Of all of the episodes I think this one was my least favorite.  I think it was the subject matter.

Scenes 1-5 (15 mins)

Scene 1: (00.00-01.09)

Newsreader voiceover:

"Reports tonight suggest that police have been called to the home of Terrence Holland. Mr Holland is terminally ill and a prominent campaigner for the right to die."

Jack arrives at the house of Terence Holland, who has just been taken away in an ambulance. Charlie is already on the scene, who tells Jack Terence is an investment banker who is also terminally ill and had been found with an apparent drugs overdose with needle marks and bruising on his right arm, as a passionate right to die campaigner it is a potential high profile suicide case.

Scene 2: (01.10-01.52)

Jack talks to Dr Melanie Standish who called the police. She says she arrived at the house earlier that evening to hear what she thought was row between Terence and his wife Henrietta, who are going through a bitter divorce, so she left them to it and went for a walk. when she returned she knocked, no one answered, she couldn't hear any voices, became concerned, rang Terence's mobile got no reply and was worried so she called the police.

Scene 3: (01.53-02.39)

Jack and Charlie are still in the house, Henrietta was found "out for the count" in the bedroom when the police arrived earlier. Jack asks forensics if they've found any "sharps" (needles), but there are none in the house. Terence has an advanced stage of cancer and could not have injected himself. Charlie says it is pretty straightforward "wife Henrietta has tried to help Terence to die".

Jack replies, "woah, woah, woah, woah, woah, don't start jumping to conclusions, that's my job"

Scene 4: (02.40-03.31) Charlie interviews wife Henrietta at headquarters, who says they talked and Terence fell asleep, she was tired so took some sleeping pills and fell asleep about 7pm, before the row was overheard by Dr Standish.

Scene 5: (03.32-04.15)

Jack and Charlie are at their desks. Jack has info on Terence up on his computer, he set up Euthanasia UK and Dr Melanie Standish is an ardent supporter of the campaign. There were no signs of forced entry to the house, so Jack suggests they find anyone who had access, and Terence could have been rowing with, like family. Charlie has been looking for his brother Matt Holland but cannot find him, and has spoken to his wife Jess.

so here we go with the first 5 scenes, Jack in his blue rubber gloves, with Charlie and forensics, at the crime scene.

I love that line.

I don't know if I'm only one, but it seemed to me that Charlie was trying to impress Jack in scene 1, I mean, it was really interesting cause Charlie always tries to impress with her knowledge but this time it seemed little different with Jack, like it was not a competition

Why's that, Domino?  I don't know who she is.  She is striking.

me too Jane, not the first time jack says it either!

It's only as we get to know him more that we understand the meaningfulness of it too!

Interesting point Jozie, it did feel like she wanted to impress but I do still sense competitiveness between the two throughout this episode.

Jane, she was in Blakes 7!

This episode had a lot of good Damien face shots I noticed.  Like they finally realized he was a bit of a heart throb and should capitalize on that.  thud

I agree that Charlie is trying to impress Jack and DI Bellamy.

I feel she also trying to encourage herself to be more assertive. Jack can run over others pretty easily.

Charlie was acting more humble and respectful as usual. Wondered why. But there was little competition between them too domino.
True that Jane, I mean like, really, really good shots ;)

Yeah, still not enough Damien face time, but an improvement at least.

I felt like Jack was quietly casing the scene in the opening... questioning about the 'sharps' you could almost hear his mind whirring, he comes across very much as the experienced one here

Most definitely and he moves into the scene with a lot of ease.
