Damien had a mention in this article by Den Of Geek, on upcoming BBC Viking Drama 'The Last Kingdom'.
We can forgive the spelling mistake, just, with such a cool role recommendation.
for my money I’d pick Damian Molony for Uhtred, Charlie Hunnam for Ragnar the Younger, Sean Bean (as nice nod to his Bernard Cornwell past) as Ragnar the Fearless, Arthur Davill as Beocca, Kaya Scodelario as Brida, and Eddie Redmayne as Alfred.
I know that I've read this book.....and I know that I enjoyed it at the time....I also know that I haven't read any of the sequels - but I cannot remember anything about it!
It is always a wonderful thing to see Damien's name added to a dream cast list and his talent being recognised.
I have not read the book so cannot comment particularly on the character but from the description it seems like a brilliant role. The stories are likened to Game of Thrones and I have often wondered if we may see Damien appear in that one day..
I'm already dreaming of intense fight scenes and other scenes... have to keep reminding myself this is just a wish list someone put together...

Original viking Uthred who really lived, was called Uthred the Bold. Fiction character Uhtred of Bebbanburg is based on him in Bernard Cornwell's books.
Thinking about Damien as Uhtred gives me chills, and I would like to hear Cornwell's opinion about that dream cast list, especially Damien as Uhtred
"In Bernard Cornwell's series he adds a 'historical note' at the end, in which, especially in the first book, he mentions that Uhtred was his Ancestor. He took the liberty of installing Uhtred earlier in history." -Wikipedia
