Oh, my goodness, listening to this again sent shivers up my back. He reads this so well, so much packed into such a short time. I'd forgotten how many feelings this evoked.
So glad it has been made available again.

Well said Ellie. approved
RJ, what a treat for you to listen for the first time and for anyone else who missed it in 2015!

Let's hope this is the first of many repeats of Damien's many radio projects.

...if you find yourself with a spare 15 mins this Sunday...

The perfect listen for Halloween

Damien reading Eimear McBride's haunting, moving, quietly horrifying short story

'Me and The Devil'

A story of dark family secrets and a journey home to execute a long-awaited act of revenge.

This is still one of the most incredible things I've heard on the radio. It's a powerful tale enhanced by Damien's wonderful, sensitive reading of it.

Very much so, the perfect synergy of a wonderful reading and an incredible story. Both the language and the reading are rich, deep and poetic. There is nothing delicious about the darkness in this tale, it's really heart wrenching and tragic. A perfect example of a very personal story addressing larger issues.
