This news is just fantastic. I've watched them all so many times....but it will be great to see them back on tv!
I'm joining in all of the general wishing that they show all 5 series. I guess that with all of fhe 'interest' in Aidan, it's not surprising that they want to cash in....although I'd expected Desperate Romantics to be their first repeat. But I will be sooooo disappointed if they don't show all 5!
I'd love to be part of a group rewatch along with other BH fans, but time zone issues will keep me from it. And yes, it would be rotten not to show all 5 series!

5 series, 36 episodes at 1 ep per week is 9 months. I guess it wouldn't be the longest running repeat on TV but would be 'making history' for BBC Three?!
Rosie - you so need to watch BH from the start, my feelings on the show are similar to Lisa's. it is very special to me and helped me during the darkest times. When I was very ill and unable to watch TV hardly at all it was the only thing I'd watch each week and rest the whole week in between. Engaging, transportational, moving and hilarious and characters right across the 5 seasons that end up feeling like family.
I'd not thought of the Poldark connection fifi but you may be right. It's sadly more likely that than the fact that we all harassed BBC three for ages to repeat BH for years! Hmmm... So if it's catering to Aidan fans I do wonder how many series there will be.
I'd be up for a group rewatch tj, would 9pm UK work in your time zone?
Sadly, 9pm Thursday is 3pm at work with at least two hours to go, so I can't do a group rewatch. I'll probably check Twitter when I get home and see what everyone said.

Wonderful! Might be good change to get some new fans and people interested about this show again! (and Damien).. We could live tweet about the episodes and stuff...
BH is back tonight! Hope lots more people discover this gem of a show.
Damn timezones TJ!
We always have this forum topic if anyone wants to chat about the episode after. We also have the chat box if anyone wants to live chat during the episode.
Jozie, fingers crossed for repeats of S4 and 5 as well
Being Human 1.01 is now available on the BBC iplayer to stream and download
So who watched last night's episode? *raises hand*
Even after seeing it a gazillion times on DVD it was still very speical seeing it on UK TV again! It is so brilliant! The werewolf horror is incredible!
Each ep is a masterpiece in writing and acting. Russell is outstanding in this one! (as they all are in them all... but his talent in emotional scenes is exceptional, almost as good as DaMo's... )
The second episode isn't one of my favourites, namely because of Tully himself. He absolutely creeps me out (probably deliberately) but every time i watch the episode he just makes me shudder. The difference with watching s1 on BBC Three is that i get to hear the original music used, ie Muse, Arctic Monkeys and The Prodigy as i've only ever seen the first two seasons of BH on DVD and they aren't used apparently.
Good point Lisa! Yeah the soundtrack rocks...and adds so much. It's a huge sadness the same tracks are not used on the DVDs. The BH website has the tracks listed for each episode.
