DS Jack Weston (Damien), DC Charlie Steele (Clare-Hope Ashitey) and DI Martha Bellamy (Fay Ripley) return in episode 2 of Suspects Series 4 this week and Channel 5 have shared a sneak peek in a new preview trailer.
In the upcoming episode, the detectives work together to unravel a trail of evidence to solve another challenging case.
With Jack back at his best in the interview room, defending himself against attack in the street and in hot pursuit down an alleyway, we’re also going to see plenty of our favourite actor front and centre on our TV screens.
The new season of Suspects continues next Wednesday at 10pm. Here's a sneak preview of what's in store.

Unlike the previous 3 series, each episode of Suspects Series 4 comes with a name. Episode 2 is called ‘Revenge’, the title hinting at this week’s self-contained crime story where the detectives re-visit an investigation from over eight years ago.
Check out the synopsis below. (Fair warning: the following contains episode spoilers!)
Suspects Series 4 Episode 2 ‘Revenge’
After an early release from prison due to cancer, Dean Price is beaten, stabbed and left for dead. Eight years ago, Polish immigrant Alekz Wojnar suffered an identical assault and was found in exactly the same alley where Price has just been found.
At the time, Dean admitted taking part in Alekzʼs beating, but denied administering the fatal stabbing. When he was convicted of ABH (actual bodily harm) rather than murder, the victimʼs grief-stricken family was furious. Deanʼs brother Robbie says that he warned him not to return to the area. Have the Wojnars taken the law into their own hands?
Alekzʼs father Marek comes under suspicion when Deanʼs neighbours report witnessing a ferocious quarrel between the two. Inside the house, Deanʼs kitchen floor is covered in blood, indicating that he was stabbed there and then moved.
Marek admits to seeing red when he learned that Dean had used a false identity to arrange a meeting with his daughter Kamilla. However, Kamillaʼs husband Stan was also furious when he found out and the fact that he has already washed all the familyʼs clothes from the day of the attack on Dean looks decidedly suspicious.
The detectives decide that the only way to get to the bottom of what happened to Dean is to reinvestigate the original crime…
Doesn't it seem like Jack gets beat around quite a bit more on the job than your average policeman? And maybe it's my bias, but doesn't it seem like Damien has the most screen time lately, the most action? Not that I'm complaining or anything...

Jack does seem to be on the receiving end occasionally... not sure how often that occurs in RL but I am sure it wouldnt be in of it didn't! He also does lots of chasing, not forgetting jumping over bollards (jumping Jack)!
Don't forget So Jack Weston is “a man of action” with “acute emotional intelligence” whose “easy charm belies his killer gut instinct”.....
