I know! Squee! The official Crashing page all shiny and new, with those tempting teasing not yet live treats! not that I have been clicking refresh every five mins to see if 'Introducing Crashing' is live yet.. not at all..

Yes fifi! This might be my new fav gif! Love his smile
I can only say how much I'm waiting for this, Damien has always had strong comedy side on him and I think in this role it will shine. Somehow when I watched the trailer I saw glimpse of Hal, I don't know why but Anthony might have same kind of humor. I am Only one?
"Likely to offend some and win over others." I can live with this. And I'm already won over. As usual Damien is not picking a vanilla role/series. When I first heard the word 'sitcom' I thought I'd give it a chance because of him, but in general I don't do sitcoms. Usually bland or stupid or both. But everything I've seen so far exceeds my expectations. Roll on Monday!
Loving seeing him in all the TV guides! Damien deserves to be front and center.

Totally. Crashing is not shaping up to be vanilla in any way shape or form... agree with all you just said whimsy. The vibe of Crashing so far seems quirky and cool, and the comedy looks fiery and edgy not watery and safe.
The only sitcom I ever really got into was Friends, every time I see bits of Crashing I think of that, but it looks better! And the setting has to be considered too... maybe even as the main character of the show. I adds a whole extra fascinating, exciting dimension to it, with all that potential for story and comedy that Damien mentioned in the bts interviews.
I mean really, they got everyone else right. It's not that hard!

Wonderful insights! I like the fact that it started out with characters and relationships, then the story evolved. Characters are always what attracts me to things.
It's funny, I really disliked her in Broadchurch. Maybe it's what you were supposed to feel, and she did a fantastic job with her character? Well, she sounds quirky and intelligent, and Crashing sounds quirky and intelligent. And what's that about a possible 2nd series??? With same cast I would hope...
