With under a month to go until its world premiere at Tribeca 2016, the Tiger Raid treats are beginning to flow. Our first exciting look at the film’s Tribeca artwork came last week and now the film company have unleashed even more.
The impactful new film imagery comes via a brand new official Tiger Raid Twitter page, and it’s awesome and powerful stuff – with imagination triggering evocative tones and a provocative tagline.
In the first image, Damien appears fierce and staring with his blacked out eyes and is pointing a gun. Completely bathed in red, the bloodstained symbolism is unmissable. It’s an adrenalising, horrifying and utterly compelling new introduction to his character Paddy.
The second refers to Tiger Raid‘s entry in the Tribeca Film Guide and its description of the lead actors’ “stunning performances”. But it is set against the image of an extracted tooth, perhaps suggestive of torturous themes in the film.
These new images are potent and thrilling, and make us even more excited for the film – which screens in under a month at Tribeca.
The end of the wait is coming. Time to get Tiger Raid.
Tiger Raid screens at Tribeca 2016 17 April (world premiere), 18 April and 22 April. Totally Rosie and it would be epic if these eventually became a poster set! And maybe a book o Tiger Raid artwork!
While writing this I found myself using these words to describe the imagery - evocative, provocative, powerful, impactful, bloodstained, horrific, adrenalising, awesome... and these are all strong words, but they don't quite do justice to the power of these images... what other words would everyone else use or add? and I'm also curious about all your interpretations of the imagery!
I think the simplicity of these images really emphasises the focus on the characters. The pulled tooth image is intriguing as there doesn't seem to be another image like it yet, the others are either Paddy or Joe.
I actually found the one of Paddy with the quote "The end is coming. Time to get paid" made my heart miss a beat. The implicit threat behind those world's is definitely heart stopping.
