Seeing as we are all enjoying Damien's groovy 70s gear as Foster in No Man's Land I wondered what are everyone's favourite costume that Damien's characters have worn and why?

My own favourite (not much of a surprise!) is Albert Flight's suit.

I think this suit says so much about Flight - what it symbolises in the sense that this is the man he wants to be and also how 'buttoned up' it is like it's literally keeping all his secrets in.

What an excellent and delightfully diverting topic Rosie!

It was hard enough deciding which Hal costume was a fave, how is it possible to choose from all the other DaMo characters?!

 

It has to be one of these...

Costumes are such an integral part of a character. A costume is the final touch that fully transforms the actor into that character.

Hals Uniform for sure!

And all of Jacks blue shirts cool And a bit of a weird one but the Yellow jumper from IUDLUD,WWLUS I can't actually remember but I think the character was called Ray. I'll try to find a photo.

That was an epic jumper Bill

To be honest, I am struggling to find any costume of one of Damien's characters that I am not fond of.... or is it just that no costume could look bad on Damien ? cool

The costumes are so instantly recognisable as being that character. Jack wouldn't be Jack without his blue shirts for example

Apart from Albert, my all time favourite, I just love seeing him in the navy and other blues he wears in Suspects - he really suits those coLouis.

Must admit I'm becoming quite fond of Foster's 70s costumes, and very much love Ann Treneman's description in her No Man's Land review for The Times : 


"Damien Molony and Owen Teale are Hirst's servants, though at first we have no idea who they might be. They look like Starsky and Hutch, but gone to the dark side. Just right, really."
