Oh that looks promising - that's definitely a police lanyard and it looks like the right sort of office! Claire-Hope arrived back to the UK early June by the look of her Twitter feed so assuming she's up for another series that might fit, too. Fingers crossed! __________________

Damien is definitely looking very Jack-like here. Fingers crossed this means what we are all hoping! And the way the last series ended it left things up in the air for Jack so perhaps he could be the new inspector. Hopefully there'll be more clues soon. __________________

Yes this has to mean ! Paul Marquess, Suspects creator, has a new website. The following paragraph seems to suggest that the UK Suspects is a past project, not a future one

He also co-created and Executive Produced ‘Crime Stories’ for ITV Daytime and five seasons for improvised crime drama ‘Suspects’ for C5. Paul has recently been supervising production of the German and Dutch versions of ‘Suspects’.

There has been no official confirmation either way, but the lack of any series last year, or any news at all, does seem to be pointing towards no series 6. Additionally, Kara Manley (series producer) has moved on from FremantleMedia, and I cannot imagine Suspects being made without her (no offense to the rest of the incredibly hard working team, but she was the queen of Suspects.)

This would be far less confusing if new cast and a new CID team had not been introduced in series 5, with the perfect set up for more series. And less upsetting if the final Channel 5 voice over announcement didn't tease "will Jack be back?"

I bloody love Suspects and Jack Weston, I will miss them hugely.

Unfortunately, I also think that they have stopped making Suspects, which was a bit of a surprise after the "will Jack be back?" at the very end. It sounded as though there would be another series and I thought they were teasing us with the idea of no Jack. He is one of the most favourite characters in the Suspects.
However, while Perry Fitzpatrick seemed to be universally popular as TDC Roscoe, I noticed that Lenora Critchlow's character was much less liked in the forums.
I loved Suspects and retain the hope that it is revived after the other productions - with Damien still in as Jack, of course. In the meantime I will have to content myself with watching the DVDs!

I am biased of course, but agree that Jack is likely the favourite Suspects character. In that sense, no other character is as well liked, but.. not sure which forums you are referring to but I really enjoyed Lenora Crichlow as DS / DI Alisha as I think did many of us, especially the scenes with her and Jack which were kinda special, partly due to the Being Human connection!

It's such a shame that TV companies have to be driven by money. For all channel 5 talked up Suspects they didn't do it any favours by changing the scheduling of it so much. This seems to be the way TV is going these days - if it's not making enough money it just gets dropped. At least it's not as bad as the USA yet where shows get dropped part way through if they aren't getting viewers!
I thought Jack was a brilliant character for Damien and I'm sure he must have enjoyed the challenge of the improvisation. I'll definitely miss the Jacksass if there's no more Suspects.

That's a shame. I really enjoyed Suspects. It took a while to grow on me but I will really miss the characters and the mysteries now.
