Yes, what a year! As always, I found composing the list far easier than making a choice - loved all of it for different reasons.

Forget Kind Of Tinder, Damien became King Of Instagram this year - those stories and selfies were one delight after another, really uplifting to see and lovely of Damien to share so much!

So many fantastic moments this year! I love how much radio work Damien has done this year. A very underestimated art form and not only brought Damien to the attention of a new audience but also brought an audience of Damien fans to radio drama.

Also the podcast interview was amazing! Loved the stories! I'll never look at bread and milk in the same way again!

It's fantastic that the fundraiser has raised £695 for Centrepoint this year! Well done everyone! And how wonderful was it that Damien got so involved and was generous with his time and writing lovely personal cards.

Oh me too Rosie, Damien's radio projects were the highlight of the year for me!
(and in case anyone missed it, we have a separate poll on those here!)

It's so intensely hard to pick one moment from this list, because each one was an exciting surprise and wonderful happy moments each in their own different ways.

Like you Rosie, for me the 'Crashing For Christmas' charity prize draw was a top moment for many different reasons - fundraising for an important charity on some levels will always outshine everything else for me. And it was a privilege to have Damien's help and support throughout - both personally and as a fandom. And it's just so utterly heartwarming when our fandom gets behind something together.

Agree also about the Lovetalkin interview - the most in depth, most natural and all round great interview with Damien ever. We talk about his career all the time (lol!) but to hear Damien himself talking about his own career and projects and sharing all those wonderful insights, such a treat.

I have to say the announcement of 'GameFace' series 2 was pretty up there as well! Just loved series 1, and Damien as Jon, and want much, much more Joncella! However, even though Roisin C kind of tangentially implied Damien will appear in the second series, I cannot fully let myself jump up and down until it's explicitly confirmed!

Damien's 'Brassic' casting announcement moment was EPIC! And that excitement has kept up the same momentum since - the cast, creatives, the whole thing. SO excited for this one next year!

And how about 'Right Now'? I mean! That totally blew our minds and came out of nowhere didn't it! not to mention:

And as Sana and I previously mentioned. Damien's Instagram selfies and stories were aweome, fantastic delights this year!

Well, I went for 'Judas' again because I'm hoping it's on every year in Holy Week!
I didn't read all of the choices so didn't notice the 'Crashing for Christmas' - that was definitely the highlight for me (looking happily at card on centre stage of mantlepiece).I
Damien's radio work this year has been fantastic, I've loved everything he's done. His voice is not only beautiful to listen to it is so clear - I often watch tv with subtitles turned on as I find a lot of actors mumble (it's not my hearing, honest).
Thrilled about 'Brassic' and waiting with eager anticipation for it to arrive on tv. With any luck, 'The Current War' will be on next year, too!
I've learned about Instagram stories this year, too, thanks to Damien. Before that I'd thought Instagram was only for sharing snaps!
I love it that he's done other things like LoveTalkin and 'Right Now', they are to the mix so well.
As for 'GameFace' - loved series one and delighted there's to be a series 2.

I went with "Right Now" because we actually got to see him acting in something new. I'm also excited for GameFace season 2 if we're sure he's in it. Well, actually I'm looking forward to it either way but really hoping he's in it. __________________ "I should have left a clue. Like, I don't know, locking him in a cellar and tying him to a fucking radiator!"

Ellie, what a lovely thought, how amazing if Judas was aired again next year. It always seems a shame that any radio piece (or indeed any medium) should vanish into the ether. They should be like great works of art, hung to inspire, for all, for all time. Yes, with all he has coming in the pipeline, 2019 is certainly shaping up to be another Year Of The DaMo!

RJ, It was a thrill to see a new character on our screens, with Damien in Right Now! I feel the same way about each of his radio works in 2018 as well, which were arguably more substantial works in terms of character even without the visual. But maybe the particular visual of Right Now was pretty powerful too...

(very sorry / not sorry).

Molonians! I've taken the liberty of adding a few more personal fave Molony moments from the year and have come up with a TOP 18 Molony Moments of 2018! It's a long read, but hope you enjoy the journey through the year.

Damien's blood donations have been added, his dedication and constancy with his donations and campaign is so inspiring.

As always, it's a really close run thing. Loved the radio...and 'Right Now' was a real treat. Damien's selfie's and stories were pretty hard to beat tbh. But ultimately I chose the Love Talkin interview. So much to love about it...it was just such a relaxed interview and so many great little stories/insights. And then video clips on top! smile smile smile

Love the top moments article, domino....there could never be too many and every one is a favourite on some level!

Thanks for the nice words about the top 18 of 2018 - yes, soooo hard to pick a fave, or even any kind of ranking, that is why I could only do is a a chronological top 18 list, not by order of preference!

As this is the first day of 2019 I can't help but be excited about the prospect of all the Molony moments on next years list...
