Marcella atones for her drunken behaviour at Billy’s party by giving up booze. She visits Jon to apologise but he has a guest there and doesn’t invite her in. Marcella goes to stay at Simon’s Nan’s country cottage. At the cottage Marcella calls Jon to confess about her lie. Jon visits Marcella’s flat to try and find out more. A spider on the toilet forces Marcella into the garden for a moonlit pee and she gets a surprise visitor.

What a masterfully woven story so far, the tension has kept on building, not only on that unintentional lie but also the whole Joncella relationship!
How unexpected that all was.
I love his facial expressions. That's so funny all the time.
I'm really surprised and impressed with how Roisin can write that.
Agree Sana, there was something new again to these 2 episodes, a slightly different feel - can't put my finger on it, but just when you think the writing and storylines cannot get any better, they do! And there were real surprises!
Just have to say it... that scene were Jon sees Simon at the country cottage when he goes to surprise Marcella and he jumps in the bushes...
