As an accomplished boxer, Ash is in for the win, but all bets are off for the gang when he ends up in hospital after the match. Vinnie suspects foul play and sets out to fight for the honour of his friend. This episode took everything up an even higher notch, the comedy and the drama!
The Ash storyline was heart wrenching in places and when Vinnie was in the fight...
I really can't get enough of the scenes with these two together... the Vinnie and Dylan bromance is a compelling thing... you can feel the history in their relationship whether they're teasing each other, arguing or having a proper chat. There are undercurrents of so many tensions as well.
In some of these earlier scenes it looked like Damien, Joe Gilgun and Michelle Keegan were having trouble not laughing for real! I bet there are some epic outtakes!
I love the friendship that the whole gang have...and the group scenes where they are all together!
Finally the episode with that scene that all the interviews mentioned before Brassic aired... and all the tabloid press are having a field day on! Knowing that this was filmed shortly after they met, glad they didin't feel awkward because while it was fairly short, it was very full on!
Loved this bit!
How about that ending?
I sensed there was history there right from the start but....
Where will Dylan and Erin's relationship go from here? And how about Vinnie?
I laughed out loud and cried in this episode, the whole package pulls you in leaves you wanting to know what happens next!
I only have this four stars, for the simple reason that I found some of the bare knuckle fighting impossible to watch. The plot and acting were top notch, as usual, though!
Yeah, those fight scenes were a lot, I found both Ash's fight and Vinnie's really harrowing. But also amazing - there is so much goes on in this show in the unspoken moments. Ash's bravery and actions at the end, so moving. The way Vinnie put himself forward and then what happened in his fight.. it revealed so much about the characters.
