What a fabulous interview! Wonderfully in-depth, too. Damien seems to open up more to his Irish interviewers.
It's really nice that he talks a little about his private life as well as his working one.
Wonder if he'll ever put his ideas for storylines into practice, I'd love to see them. I will admit I was pleased Fleabag didn't get with the priest in the end, much preferred the vibe from them at the end when they said goodbye, quite poignant.
Detailed and lovely and long! It was a lovely surprise finding this one after hankering after it in August.
Love how Damien "fizzes with passion" for his craft after all his experience and years of hard work! He just keeps consistently shining!
' He's unlikely to move unless Hollywood calls. "God Almighty I'd love to head over there to work," he says, "I'm always taping an auditioning for stuff, but the great thing, as well as the scary thing, about acting is that you never know what is going to happen next." '
"I have a little diary here with me and in there is a section called 'Roles I'd like to Play', I wrote that some three months ago and it's still blank. But I believe it's wise to have a dream list because you never know when a director you've worked with might ring you up and ask: 'I've got a theatre for four weeks, what do you want to do?'"
