The Fabric Of You is even more beautiful than I’d imagined it would be, both visually and in the storytelling.. and it’s absolutely heartbreakingly emotional. A tender, passionate, deeply devastating love story.
I’ve watched it twice and I’m in need of a hug.
Oh Michael!

The animation is deeply special, such exquisite detail. Really beautiful style, with a delicate and timeless quality.
The shadows of the raindrops.
The steam on the hot tea.
The sewing machine.
The buttons...

There’s very little dialogue, so not an awful lot of Damien, the story is largely visually told with a non linear structure, present day, memories, and flashbacks.

The tone is elevated by the film score which is magical, and like a haunting lullaby.

For a film that’s just 10 minutes long it leaves a powerful impression, it’s a very high quality short and deserves all the awards!

I didn't enjoy it very much at all.

I have a smart TV so was able to use the Internet connection on it to watch on the (comparatively) large screen.

I'm glad I had the chance to watch it but don't want to see it again. Not for me.

Glad you managed to watch it Ellie, sorry it wasn't your cup of tea, I guess you can't win them all

I'm still feeling quite emotional about it, the double tragedy of the story and the stunning animation. Lots more film festival opportunities coming up for anyone who missed it!
