Always a pleasure whimsy!
To be honest, all the Damo action has migrated to social media, and the forum has become totally blog like, apart from me talking to myself and the odd post from the lovely Ellie!

But this is not a new conversation, it's been gradually reaching this point for a long, long time. Not even the unique things to the forum, fundraisers, Christmas cards etc or comps got people here. The big response was elsewhere. And there are only so many times you can keep on trying!

Still conflicted about keeping the forum going, its main purpose for me was to connect with other fans, to have a fandom, not just to be a news portal (got the fan site damienmolony.org for that). Such a lot of history here though, it is hard to let it go and just shut it down! I keep hoping that people will realise the advantage of a forum over social media - less anonymous, less corporate, less transient and vacuous and that things will come full circle and revitalise the forum.

The only thing that would get Damien fans here I think is if he ran it himself All the news is out there in shorter bitesize chunks, and they ain't here to listen to me ramble on or connect with each other as a fandom!
