Damien will be returning to our screens very soon!
Brassic series 4 premieres Wednesday 7 September on Sky Max and NOW.
The official series synopsis reads:
Back for more and fresher than ever, Sky’s biggest original comedy returns with a vengeance for series four. With all the Brassic gang back in Hawley, things don’t get any easier. Join Vinnie, Erin, Tommo, Dylan, Ashley, JJ, Cardi, Carol, Sugar, farmer Jim, and Dr Chris as they hatch eccentric plans, complete questionable heists and nick some bizarre items.
From discovering severed body parts to training racing dogs, then finding unexpected guests and causing mayhem at a murder mystery night, trouble is never far away when Brassic comes to town. Based on the ‘true-life’ misadventures of Bafta nominated lead actor and co-creator Joe Gilgun, Brassic returns with its signature blend of high comedy and emotional authenticity. Also starring Michelle Keegan, Dominic West, Damien Molony, Tom Hanson, Aaron Heffernan, Ryan Sampson, Parth Thakerar, Bronagh Gallagher, Joanna Higson, and Steve Evets. Co-creator Danny Brocklehurst writes, along with Alex Ganley and Danielle Ward.

One of the many things I love about Brassic is it is very much an ensemble piece. Each character has their own 'thing'.
Dylan was in a bit of a bad place in the last series and the Erin/Vinne/Tyler storyline broke my heart. Got to admit I am hoping he doesn't get more sidelined as the Vinnie and Erin love story grows... and that he gets into something else for himself in series 4 (And 5), would love to see more of his brain power put to use! Thinking back to his gambling trips and stuff like that!
I am actually not a fan of Vinnie/Erin as a couple - it's everything she wanted to leave behind in the first series. Dylan seems to be the only one of the gang with a legitimate job. However, Joe Gilgun is one of the writers and they seem to be swayed by fan pressure.
I thought Damien was underused in the last series, although he was busy with The Split as well.
Mild curiosity about the monkey, although it does remind me a bit of Marcel in Friends.
I will probably do exactly what I did last time round. Decide I'm definitely not going to binge watch, last two weeks then stay up till the small hours watching the lot 😅

Ha, same Ellie, always plan to spread out the series and enjoy it that way, but can never resist the urge!
Considering it is based on Joe G's life, it is kind of his show and it is utterly right that he is central. I'm rooting for Vinnie, his struggles with life and his bipolar disorder, and want something good to happen for him, so in that sense, I am really rooting for him and Erin too... and think this series they might finally get together. There has always been an inevitability about it and the foundations have been very well laid.. but I still struggle to get over that shift from Dylan and Erin and as you say Ellie, Erin has been trying to escape for quite a while, but gets pulled back in every time!Â
"I think that's one of the things that people love about Brassic – that it is so infectiously funny, that you can't help but laugh because these guys are having such a good time," added Damien Molony, who plays Dylan. "They're so optimistic and they're so warm hearted.
"It’s a show about a gang of best mates who are sticking together when times are tough and trying to make a go of it and have a laugh while they do it. From speaking to people on the street, that's what they love about the show. Yes, there's lots of capers that go with it, but they only work because the gang is so tight."
It won't all be fun and games for the Brassic crew, though. Having seen off local gangster Terence McCann (Ramon Tikaram) at the close of the previous season, the gang have to go up against a new menace: the McDonagh brothers, a pair of unhinged crooks.
"There's something very, very scary about about the two of them," said Molony. "I think that unpredictability is a huge part of it. Every time we think 'Oh, maybe we can work with these guys', the rug gets pulled out from underneath us very, very quickly."
Those rug pulls will lead to some dramatic scenes this season – fans should definitely brace themselves – with Molony suggesting that, after four series together, the cast now find it easier to navigate the tone of Brassic, jumping from tragedy to slapstick comedy.
"We know our characters so well at this point that we can very quickly switch on any particular kind of emotion. Joe [Gilgun] talks about watching the rushes and we're all just chatting about the takeaway that we had the night before – then someone says 'Action!' and it's like a switch is flipped.
"The camaraderie and the the group dynamic adds to that storytelling in such a special way. We feel very lucky as actors to to have that."
Sky has confirmed a fifth season of Brassic is on the way before the fourth has even aired – and having started filming together back in 2018, Molony says the cast have "matured as actors in a way that we possibly haven't as characters".
"Series one, it was, 'Right, we're going out for drinks, we're going to this bar, we're gonna have a great night out in Manchester.' And now it's very much Sunday roasts and boutique cinema trips!"
