Damien will be on the radio this evening as the performer in 'The Snowman', which won the English as a First Language prize of the International Playwriting Competition hosted by the BBC World Service and the British Council. 
 
It is also 53 mins long, so will be a real treat!

Wow, what a powerful audio drama. It was intense and harrowing, raw and elemental, on the edge of the world. The language was almost poetic and it was mesmerising listening to Damien as the man. Will need to listen again, the language was so rich. 

Did anyone else catch it?

Just started to listen to this. I decided to install the BBC Sounds app on my tv - what a palaver! Worth it, though!

Why didn't I think of that Ellie? I've got the app on my TV but listened on my headphones /laptop. The TV sound would be much better though! Oh well any excuse for another listen

Still haunted by the play and performance, it leaves an impression!

Yes, HalGal, it was odd at first listening to Damien speaking in an Irish accent different to his own - oddly enough I have no problems with hearing him use different English ones.
I would love to hear him use a Geordie accent in something!
