Another fangtastic fan video, this one focusing on the amazingly choreographed and acted Hal/Tom fight scene - where they both fly! the stunt where Damien lands on the table is incredible.

Amazing isn't it glofigs! I have never watched 'The Vampire Diaries' either but I love how the 2 shows are spliced together and the last bit is so funny!

It's cleverly done.....works really well.

My daughter forced me to watch the vampire diaries...after the 1st 2 eps i wanted go gouge my eyes out - i'm far too old for that much teenage angst!  She assures me it gets better...

My favourite from the above is, funnily enough, 'my favourite things'. It is fascinating to see all Hal's coping strategies and routines all together like that! and also filled with pathos.

I don't look for fan tribute videos...they tend to be quite angsty - and tbh I suffer enough Hal angst on my own without adding other peoples to it!  So yeah...I like the 'favourite things' one cos it's a bit more upbeat.  But I really like the 'dying' one 'cos it's Hal at his most glorious...

I love fanvids period. Like domino, I bow to their creators, as I can write fic, but have not nearly enough patience to make a vid. And some of the editing is absolutely stunning.

I often will watch a vid when I need a taste of something, but don't have time to watch an episode.

well put wabbit! and like fanfic, fanvideos can emphasise an aspect, extend a storyline or even create a new idea, using existing footage put together in such a way....

Oh!  Don't get me wrong - I am totally in awe of the talent demonstrated by many of the fanvideos I've seen....the quality of them is often far superior to a lot of the professionally cut stuff that you see (in the same way as a lot of fanfic completely trounces many published books which I've read)......

That's why I tend not to watch them - I find many of them just too heartbreaking!

I agree - totally in awe of those who make fan videos.  I've tried my hand at other mediums, and lemme tell you it can be very tedious... I imagine the videos are even more so!

Of this bunch, "Dying" would be my favorite.  But "We Want them Young" is a fun one! wink
