Ha - I'd forgotton about this. These are ep 1 quotes.......and so much changed between ep 1 and ep 2. The whole series took on a whole new vibe and I haven't been able to decide whether it's because of the writing or just my feelings towards the fact that by the time ep 2 aired I knew it was going to be the last series.
Hal being a little bit out of the loop when it comes to relationships "Then it is time to declare your intentions. First write her a poem and then speak to her father."

And i have no picture for this one. But i honestly love it when hes tied in the chair and he says "I should have left a clue. like i don't know. Locking him in a clellar and tying him to a fucking radiator!" and of course! from the flash back with cutler! it made me giggle when he said "Actually Dennis, what do you do all day apart from eat buiscuits?" :)

Just been re-watching series 4. The scene is where Alex and Hal are locked in the room and Hal is getting her to try to "Rent-a-ghost". He mimics her high pitched "Huu" perfectly and I nearly spat out my coffee.
Some Being Human Series 5 Episode 3 Hal quotes that I love, possibly more for how they are delivered than the content! Hal's quiet, genteel voice almost as if he has slipped back into another era...
“I have not got a girlfriend”
“Lady Mary is simply an acquaintance, nothing more”
“please don’t call us that. Lady Mary is not a vampire, she’s a ghost, who died, some years ago”
“you really wouldn’t get on”
“Absolutely not, Lady Mary is a shy, fragile creature, with an innocence I’m determined to protect”
and of course returning to present day:
“I think you’d corrupt Keith Richards, so if you don’t mind”
"people on board a ship that's capsizing don't use that many exclamation marks"
but also the heavier ones were great lines too..
"drinking blood means I have become the man i fear. drinking blood is the overture to catastrophe."
"trust me, you don't want to see a world where i am leading the vampires" (reminded me of Annie, and the Hal of the future she had been shown by Eve...)
