I got my Amazon despatch email this morning, so fingers crossed they'll try to deliver tomorrow.
However, as I've gone for the 5-series Blu-Ray, I suspect it won't fit through my letterbox, so it'll have to be a trip to the Delivery Office on Wednesday evening!
I got my despatch email on Saturday morning with an 'estimated' date of delivery as being today.
It finally showed up at 1.30pm. I hate temp posties, they always show up when they feel like it...my regular one delivers the post in my area by 11am at the latest. Anyone else and it's pick a number, any number... Royal Mail at it's very best ladies and gentlemen.
Got to be up at 5.45 for work tomorrow and out in the evening...plus I don't think my husband would be too happy if I ignored him for a few hours whilst I stare gooey-eyed at the screen, lol!
FFS!!! Postman just came.....there was a dvd, and I was so excited I didn't even notice that it was from amazon. It's my daughter's McFly dvd which I ordered on Monday! I'm getting quite stressed about this now........
Pearl - I know what you mean. The out of stockness does suggest that demand may have been higher than they expected.
Unfortunatly it could also mean that I don't get my copy until christmas.
Right...I am (almost) up and I have approximately 90 minutes to get some viewing in before I have to go out for the day - do an episode or watch the extras? *decisions decisions*
I am savouring my BH watching. I have watched disc one and will spread the viewing out over the next week or so. Luckily I wake up early and can usually get an episode or two in before my husband emerges. I am not going to even attempt to watch while he is around as I would only get stupid comments, like "At your age you should know better!" He hates any science fiction or fantasy. :(
Mine arrived yesterday (hurrah!) and right now I'm planning on a duvet day for Saturday. I'll stock up with crumpets and chocolate and curry (it's my duvet day so I can do what I want) and hunker down and watch the precious then.

One quick question. Do you all have the five series set or just the final series DVD? I am not sure if the cast interviews are on the first I mentioned. I hope I don't miss them.

I have the BH S5 dvd. but blu-ray 'complete collection' S1-5 is coming soon for my birthday
THe BBC dvd team said in their email that the series 5 extras content was identical for the dvd and box set ( and I am assuming for the blu rays).
Heads up for american fans (and other non region 2 fans) Apparently you can play region 2 discs on your pc (as long as it is not Apple) if you install VLC media player (free to download, I use it and would recommend). So if you were to import the dvd and do not have a multi region dvd player, this is an option for you!
