Damien has just posted on his Twitter page  two of the small Being Human trinkets he will be giving away!

these come with a gore alert and also for american and other fans who have not seen Being Human series 5 yet, this first one is a spoiler!

That after picture, #bodybroken, makes me feel so many feelings.  It is such an evocative shot, you can see the exhaustion in his posture, and the setting is just.... I can't stop looking at it!  I even did a little edit before I posted an update on my Tumblr.  I am so proud of what he did.  My admiration for him shot up in magnitudes.  I will likely do a 3rd donation before the end of the fundraiser!  I keep wanting to see that count go up! Not only for the obvious self serving reasons, but also because one of the charities, the children's hospice.  I regularly donate money and have auctioned off a quilt for a hospice near me.  It's a cause that resonates.  I thank God I have two healthy children.  It's heart wrenching to think of children needing hospice.  So, the fact that Damien did a triathlon, and then picked small charities - this combination has me loving him even more.

The triathlon Damien and his friends did was certainly no easy sponsorship challenge! It is inspiring to see any human being push their body (in a healthy way) to its limits for any causes, but Damien doing it and these causes makes me an even prouder fan!

Considering what he's just done he looks amazing in this pic. - makes me wonder if he's just flattened his hair and poured water down his front after spending the day watching tv! lol.

Well...the running total has just tipped over the £1800 mark.  Only another £200 to reach the £2000 target!

I'm never sure; I would assume it's up to the fundraiser to 'close' the account and send the money on...? I don't think there's a specific time limit on the site though.

I'd love to give more. It's so frustrating to see how close it is. But I have given 3 times already and I have other friends like Becca who are doing "fun" runs next month too. I kind of feel that all those people who follow him and say they're fans of his should be donating too.

I am doing quite well and finding people are really happy to have the chance to donate to these 2 charities, who may not have come across Damien's twitter or fundraising page themselves. just wondering how much longer I can go before the close date.. agree with you Lisa, if Damien is announcing winners on the 8 July, maybe the close date for donations is 7 July?

I suppose he can choose to close it on July 8th (it is a month after the event, so makes sense), but he may leave it open to make sure he hits £2000 and just pick three donors from those who have already given prior to then!
