My personal favourite, I can't stop SQUEEEEEEING over this one.  coolbounce And the funny thing is, I first printed just the colour picture, but it wasn't crisp enough to print clearly on 8x10.  So I decided to put all 4 pictures in.  I really love them all anyway, and the top left is my vision of Paulie from The Hill Bachelors.  I really was worried he'd think I was being greedy sending so many pictures for him to sign.  OMG, this one!!!

I sent a piece of muslin to label my replica of the same quilt I sent him.  I thought he would just sign his name, but such a lovely surprise that he personalized it even more.  I'm wonderful. :P

Kat, the one he sent Su, which is the same one he sent that girl with her trinket looks to be his "standard" picture. If I recall the convo right, Su got the same one signed at that fundraiser she attended last fall. He must have a stack of them squirreled away, or his agent does.

Yeh the one I got is a standard picture, he had a load of them at the charity event and they are printed on card rather than photo paper to make it easier for him to sign :) xx

I remember when I first got an autograph by a celebrity, I was dying inside. I could only imagine getting one from Damien Molony.

@ il padrino  - I met some other celebrities at a convention, have signatures and pictures taken with them.  I even spent an hour with a small group with one celebrity.

 

But none of that compares to THESE.  thud thud thud

btw domino, I'm sure you'll get a kick out of this.  I may have mentioned in my letter to Damien that recently on the DM forum we voted for favourite Hal speeches and I told him my top few. (with reasons why his performance in each stood out)  AND I may have said something along the lines of "In the basement scene with Crumb, that thing you did with your eyes and your smile and voice when you became bad Hal in the chair, if you had a character that behaved that way, let's just say you'd be making alot of fans happy!"

Squeee!  Today's mail brought me signed photos of the man himself!  When I sent Damien the coffee and chocolate in August, I put three photos in for him to sign.  They came today, bent, but not totally damaged.  Here are photos of what I sent, his tweet of thanks, and the signed photos.  I'm off to get a frame!

Stratospheric... very good word!  I fear you are correct.  It's nice that there is this connection now.  I feel very lucky to be a part of his fanbase from the beginning.  

I hope as his career does take off, as things get crazy when he's got hundreds of thousands of fans vying for his attention, that knowing he has a core group of fans that respect and admire him not only for his talent and his roles (because lets face it some fans just can't separate the character from the actor) but also for his gracious, gentlemanly self helps balance any of the negative aspects of "stardom".  Kimberly and so many others have been respectful and generous and very supportive.  And everyone in this forum collectively, as we come together to send cards and photobooks and such... I guess what I'm trying to say is that to me it feels like we're part of his "team" and I think (hope) he sees it that way and will always remember that we're supporting him.

I think I'm not making much sense.  Sorry, it's late.  Very happy for you Kimberly!  Damo mail is a wonderful thing!
