criminal (and baffling) that Being Human did not get a nomination for Television Drama though.
Last year, Series 3 Ep 3 (the Sasha zombie episode) was nominated. As I said in my article on last years event (below) I felt the following scene was bound to be nominated, not least because it is the famous - and often hailed as best - Hal monologue, but it even has the welsh flag and everything!
It always seems that shows deemed "cult" get overlooked at these things. *unhappy sigh*

It's great to see Philip John is nominated....well desereved obviously. But I agree - it's hugely disappointing, and suprising, to say the least, that Being Human isn't in any other categories.
The opening montage actually had a very brief glimpse (blink and you'll miss it) of Hal and Lady Catherine quite near the start (around the 47.55 mark) as well as Crumb - an odd choice of clips, I think.
It's really disappointing that Philip John didn't win...but I have to say that it was fantastic to see Being Human on a big screen - almost surreal! I may have to buy a cinema screen sized tv to watch my dvds on! And that noise that you can just about hear on the youtube footage - that's su...she nearly burst my eardums lol! (although I did contribute a little woohoo - honest!)
Oh... I did miss that fifi and I was watching hard!
I hope you still had a fabulous time at the star-studded ceremony, despite the disappointment of Phil not winning, I am sure the winner was very worthy too, but Being Human has been criminally under rewarded over its five series. It would have been nice and also felt universally right that Phil and the show should have won this.
found it...Lord Hal and Lady Catherine rough and tumbling in front of all those people on a giant screen at the welsh BAFTAs! How incredibly cool! (very hard to see from our 'watching it on YT' vantage point though!)
(this happens right at the beginning of the ceremony, at the 47.56 mark in the video linked to above (the ceremony begins a long way into the video)
I was forced to watch a fuzzy live stream of the Baftas on my phone with one earbud in and the other attending RL. I didn't catch the opening montage and wondered who chose the clip. (not one I would have chosen, personally. There were some more worthy scenes that showed more depth)
I did hear the cheering.

"giant screen" lol!! I'll get my magnifying glass out!
It was a real thrill, but so brief....and then really frustrating that the only other one was that shot of Crumb. Made even more frustrating by the fact that they kept showing Dr Who clips...and I'm pretty sure that Dr Who didn't even have a nomination!
I'm a little bit confused about whether the nomination was for s4 or s5. I thought the awards were for the previous year (ie 2013 awards for 2012 programmes) - and last year I got the impression that it was for s3...so I presumed that this was for s4 , and there would be another shot next year (although if 'Making History' can't win an award by itself, then there's no hope...). But the clips were all s5...so I'm not sure now.
