Hal Yorke Picspam Per Episode Meme

On my Tumblr I decided to create a meme/theme of sorts dedicated to Hal's lovely face. Each photo has 10 screencaps from a particular episode (believe me choosing the screencaps is exceedingly hard. I want to use them all). I take the captures, play around with some coloring, and they eventually turn out like this:

This picspam has 8 photos as it was the introduction of Hal as a new character and there were limited scenes. I didn't want to use caps from the same scenes.  But then there is this...

I've gotten up to 4.6 Puppy Love. If you'd like to see more picspams as I make them, let me know and I will post them on up. smile I too plan on making more well developed graphics and gifs as well (I just found the GIF thread! YAY) and sharing them.

I love these hermyownee, and can well imagine how challenging it was to choose just ten screencaps.. I may have to have a go now, you inspire!, thank you for sharing!

aww Thanks domino! I'm really glad that you like them. It means a lot to me.

There are so many great Hal moments...I wish I could create a picspam using all of the captures. We'd probably be able to wallpaper a room with it! Now wouldn't that be nice? Hehe.

Thank you!! Choosing the photos is actually the most daunting part of the entire process - putting the picspam together and deciding on coloring is a breeze. For me, I try and tell a story with the captures. I really try my best to choose photos of Hal/Damien based on expressions alone so that everyone can get the gist of his journey throughout a particular episode. It's hard because really in a picspam there should only be about 10-12 captures...so hopefully I do an okay enough job choosing the right captures to tell his story.

Plus too it's hard because he's so damn gorgeous. I constantly am battling with "Oooo, I like this photo" but then coming across another and thinking "well crap, his smile there is perfection!"

That would be nice, right? I don't think we'd ever leave the room. We'd become like reclusive cave dwellers. Haha. *walks out the door* AH, WHAT IS THIS LIGHT!? *skulks back into the Hal cave*

I really don't think I'd be able choose just 10 pics from each ep, so I'm not surprised you find that the hardest part!  You've done an excellent job....they don't really give the narrative, but follow Hal's emotional journey through each episode - and lets face it....each ep is one hell of an emotional journey.  The pics in each set are really complimenary - I just keep going back to look at them all!

Episodes 5 and 6 coming at you now... I actually did a 20 capture picspam for these. I really couldn't help it. The episodes are way too good/epic and they really needed to have more than 10 photos. Without further ado...

wow these are so powerful, I really love the concept hermyownee and seeing all the screencaps this way is like the whole rollercoaster journey of each episode given in one intense capsule of intense epicness.
I love the way you've tweaked the colours and contrasts, adds to the feeling of the scene.

did you use the forum screen caps for these ones? I only ask because it might be nice if we added a link to the full set if peeps wanted to take a look! ( I can add them as hyperlinks via the actual pics here)

Thanks domino! I had such a blast making these and reliving the episodes (via Hal). I was sad to finish up! Luckily though I can think of other themes to create picspams (or gif sets) in honor of Hal (such that of objects like his dominoes, particular expressions, and so on). There is a lot more to explore in the world of Hal Yorke.

I did use the captures from the forum (and what glorious captures they are, my gosh...). That would be great!! biggrin
