Laura, that is so nice of you to include me in your thinking - much appreciated! I can't remember what my shift pattern is for the 30th, so may end up being on a late shift, so is it OK to confirm once I'm back at work on the 14th? Fingers crossed I can sort it to come...
Which tickets did you get? The posh ones or the general ones...
Posh ones all went, so we've got standing (or sitting if we can find seats) . This is where we're going to be:

Posh isn't it? I think it's first come in, first get a seat, but I noticed not all of them were looking at the stage.

it is wonderful news, fingers crossed Damien's schedule doesn't got too busy at that time and force him to pull out (the cancellation clause was not lost on me).
OMG. Fabulous news!!! If I wasn't on the other side of the pond my ass would totally be there. Ack, thrilled to hear this and will live vicariously through the eyes of those who are going.
Do you know, my sister and i were trying to organise seeing a play in London for the 29th September but couldn't for one reason or another. I even said to her, it's a pity Damien wasn't doing anything then because it'd be nice to have an excuse to stay in London for an extra day to see it (we'd planned to not stay overnight but i wanted to, basically because in and out of London in 24 hours is exhausting for me) . It's a very rare occurence when my husband's shifts coincide with something that i want to do, that i'd be able to travel anywhere. It's like lightning in a bottle. This was such a weekend. My husband had said 'go, see your play, have fun, don't worry about the expense as you don't get to go out often' But this performance is on a MONDAY night and of course, having children of school/college age and a shift working husband means that that curse has struck again...
Well, they will have to do without you Kat. The tickets were selling out so I asked for 6 & got them! Louise & Becca applied for tickets so I asked for 6 in case they didn't get any, but they have. Domino said I should get one for you just in case you wanted to come & you've not been on a BH Field Trip yet. I also got tickets for Su & Fifi and I will text Brookesey.

Time to get out that little black dress. It's time to dazzle Damien off his feet...which I am sure all of you can do with no problem. SO EXCITED for all who are going!
Thanks for posting this, domino.....and Laura - you are a star! I would've been gutted if I'd missed it. I think I've just about stopped hyperventilating now.....
Yes I did see the clause....but no-one is even allowed to think about that possiblity, alright?!
Kat - I had my ticket, train ticket and hotel booked for IYDLUD, before my OH had ever even heard the name Damien Molony......
It's not like I looked at plane tickets cuz that would be weird... *sigh* Many pics and stories requested so I can live vicariously. Even video if possible?

I cannot believe the timing of this event! I am already in London to see The Commitments on the Sunday night so it would have been rude not to extend my stay by a night to see Damien perform. I also can't wait to meet up with the rest of you again, it's been too long.
Not sure about getting a lock of hair for you though...it looks posh, best behaviour needed. ;)

The venue does look very exclusive, you will all need to be on you best behaviours Molonians... and not even sure there will be a stage door for this one..or if you would be allowed to linger there! but seeing Damien perform for this event will be a treat for you all!
I feel like the way it's worded makes it sound like the performers and guests will be arriving at 6 for drinks and mingling and the performances will start at 7:30? I could be wrong...I don't think it's a stage door type of event x
