I loved all his answers, even his cop-out Becca. It did feel a bit of a cheeky answer, and he knows you so...
He's very good at interviews and this feels like Classic Damo - non-commital, well thought out, PC answers, with a dash of relaxed banter.
I loved the obvs too. It's cute when he relaxes and his personality shines through, it's like that question is a particular exciting one to him. I thoroughly approve of an American Roadtrip!
The cigarette came as a shock, but the scene played out so well. It's funny they had trouble with it.
Love his 3 word description. Perfect!
I was pleasantly surprised to have one of mine picked, didn't think it was particularly inspired. That scene was his first to film - ouch. I cringe each time I see it. (up to 3 viewings) In light of other photos circulating, it looks like par for the course for Flight - Welcome to Ripper Street.
Would love to know what his character inspiration music is! Let's hope there's another Q & A!

Wow...well....yes!! Still a bit gobsmacked really!!
Thanks for posting the whole thing, domino. I actually missed most of it! It was such a surprise to see my question (especially 'cos it came up first) that I got really confused...and then really flustered....and managed to crash my tablet!! So I demanded that my OH let me use the computer....but he just didn't get the urgency of the request!!!
I agree that there were some really great questions which didn't get asked.....and it's a shame that the limitations of twitter mean the answers so brief.... We soooo need him to do a Q&A on the forum. lol!!
woohoo fifi! I was thrilled to see your question up first!
I felt that the character limit was a great catalyst for punchy answers - no idea if Damien has any preparation but the quality of his answers was impressive, considering. But agree that a deeper interrogation would be fun!
A forum Q&A would be immense, can you imagine?
We did actually put in a request for a Q&A with fans, and we got one.. just not here fingers crossed for an opportunity in the future.

THIS!
I actually enjoyed how he phrased his answers - short and sweet and well thought out. I did wonder if they would have gone though the questions ahead of time, if the RS account had them already typed so that they could send them quickly, but it didn't appear so. And there was a little lag in answers. He's always been a great interviewee, knows what he wants to say. Shows he's put much thought into his characters.
But another Q&A without the character limits would be FANTASTIC. I still want to know the answers to some of those unasked questions. Some very good ones did not get picked.

@Glofigs, you mean Damien's answer to fifi's Q, the part about what he disliked about Flight? his answer "Too serious, unable to have a laugh w/ Reid/Drake/Jackson" we saw some of that in the last episode!
Flight does seem to carry a heavy weight on his young shoulders.......
The most impressive bit of the interview was that Damien was able to not typo "asphyxiation" under pressure and time restraints. Lol, "Now you're just showing off" went though my mind, in Annie's voice of course!
Just re-reading this interview, the last Damien interview published, this really was a special evening, and one of my favourite moments of the year! the forum twitter account is still getting retweets of my questions Damien answered, especially the one about the writing.
Did anyone ever find out what Flight's character music was that Damien listened to in his trailer? I'd love to know!! From reading interviews it seems that music is really important to Damien to help him get into character.
Remembering that evening makes me laugh out loud. I was soooo confused when my question came up - I was so not expecting it that I genuinely couldn't understand what was happening! Sad really....lol!
That is amazing! I totally have that song in my head now! And there I was thinking the character music would be something deep and meaningful!
If I recall correctly, Damien said in the interview that the music was light and uplifting which put him into the right space to play Motl in TL, but other characters would likely have a different 'theme'?
